Earlier I was trying to find information about my grandfathers birthplace from his birth certificate. With the good information some posters sent and a little bit of detective work the village name looks to be Wołoszczyzną. Although it's not on any current maps, it was a
operating village near Łancut. If anyone has any information on the village or sources to any pictures, the information would be greatly appreciated.

Łancut is in the very SE corner of PL so if it was a village then it may very well be in today's Ukraine. also see: woloszczyna

The village in the Ukraine called Wołoszczyzną is near Lviv. The village my grandfather was born in was in the area of Łancut. Łancut appears on the birth certificate as the administrative seat.

In 1894 and the area was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It could be the Administrative seat was Łancut at the time, but that's over a distance of 150 miles.
