So just a quick question. Someone told me that even though I have100% polish blood in me I'm really only 1% polish. I was just confused as how thisperson says I'm not actually polish. I mean I was born there I understand I don't know everything about poland but I am learning the language right now and am planningon going back. So what am I not polish has my bloodturned to something else I wasn't aware I that I'm not polish anymore. If someone could explain thank you!!!!!!

Now? So you was adopted by American parents?

It's sounds like one of the British migrants who agitate against Polonia on PF sent you a PM. If so they were being quite generous to say you were 1% Polish.

But seriously, if you say you were born in Poland to Polish citizens but don't have a passport or other citizenship documents then contact the nearest Polish embassy or consulate in your area to help you out.

It is not for the passing man on the street to determine or deny your heritage, citizenship status or right to return to Poland.

Don't worry about not knowing everything about Poland. Not everyone knows what is happening on their own street let alone their own country.

If culturally and linguistically you were raised in another country then this can be a barrier but nothing you can't overcome with time and effort. Besides, many Polish children have been and still are raised outside of Poland.

what a load of crap? Who the hell told you that you're not Polish? You were born there and you freely declare yourself as Polish, that's all that matters. Look, there are thousands of Americans born in Germany because their parents (or one of them) were stationed over there at some point in time. They're all Americans, no question about it and you're Polish, end of story.

A practical advice as to the learning of Polish

I've just bought the Polish baby to teach me Polish - this is the easiest way if you do not have the pure Polish blood.

Oh, just a fraction for the royal babe, a babe in arms in a coat of arms. I'd pay any money to be a Royal.

Incorrect.
It was actually Goofy, a '100% Polish' migrant living in the UK, who told Mochadot that she wasn't Polish (openly on live chat).
He said the Polish 'blood' accounts for only 1%, the other 99% being some wierd sense of patriotism... how very ironic :D

Mocha, tbh having spoken to you a bit, you do come across as a typical American young lady. I can't see much of the 'Polish' in your character.

Although you were born Polish, you are definitely American culturally. But don't worry, there's still hope for you yet xD
Please do not take offence, this is just my humble opinion.

Fortunately, Mocha is far more Polish than you'll ever be.

I have been a witness how you and bluesfan and you have been goading and provoking goofy. Questioning his motives, his views and his integrity.

I would say that the both of you are at least partly responsible for his outburst.
I would have said nothing if not for your confrontational attitude clearly visible here. Are you Polish national?

After arguements, hearing a lot of insults and offence frome one particular user,

goofy mochadot18 was only fooling around, she meant no harm, you are confused because you were arguing with bluesfan and delphiandomine. They upset you not her, be wise and apologize to her, you can benefit from having a friend.

Always amusing to see the children of immigrants whining about immigrants and saying that other people aren't members of the nation they themselves refuse to join.

Firstly, i feel the same about what I said yesterday.

Firstly I am Polish, When people ask where I am from I say I was born in POLAND.
Secondly I never said anything bad to you until after a while of you saying a load of crap to me.
Thirdly I NEVER said I was more Polish than you
Fourth I do celebrate things like the Polish christmas, We clean the house perfectly, we do the 13 courses. So I do celebrate Polish things and I do know Polish culture.

And I could go on and ON AND ON AND ON

No, she got banned for insulting you after Lenka said stop. Don't try and change things.

Goofy I never said anything that bad to you last night and I waited SOOOO Long to say something back, I even asked you multiple times if you were done taking low ball shots at me.

goofy mochadot18 was only fooling around, she meant no harm, you are confused because you were arguing with bluesfan and delphiandomine.

Pretty much THANK YOU Nile, I shoulda listened to you and just ignored the stupid comment :P

I was there Goofy and Mocha got banned because I said stop and she didn't listen. But if I was to determine you are the one who should apologise.

Mocha, you do come across as American and that's probably how you'll be received in Poland. But it doesn't matter- what matters is what you feel and what you do. And your feelings as well as actions (learning Polish, the culture and so on) suggest that you know exactly how to make such silly attacks look well...silly.

@Lenka

Thank you, and I NEVER said that I was more Polish than him or anything. All i'm saying is I see myself as being Polish I cant say i'm an American as people then go where were you born and I go Poland ooo well then your Polish. I have family in Poland and my parents would hate for me to even say i'm not polish they have made it a deal to keep Polishness within our house to keep our connection to it. So I understand that I would come off as an American although I look Polish (Blonde blue eyes LOL) but I dont mind I grew up in the U.S so I cant expect anything else. My city doesn't have a big Polish community nor are my parents Polish so its hard, I lost the language unfortunately but I had no control over that.

AND YES I find this whole argument INSANELY Funny as i've never been told before i'm not Polish.

not so sure about that. I'd say, the majority of Polish women are not exactly blonde.

During my last visit in Poland, I thought medium brown and dark brown hair were more common than any shade of blonde.
