balrog_99 8 | 11 22 Jan 2013 #1I was wondering the correct way to say the date in Polish. I have read two seemingly conflicting sources.Today is the 22nd of January, 2013Is it:a) dwudziesty drugi stycznia dwa tysiące trzynaścieorb) dwudziestego drugiego stycznia dwa tysiące trzynaścieWhich one is more correct, or is there another way?
pawian 221 | 23,970 22 Jan 2013 #2This first is better. The other is more often used for talking about past events e.g., The January Uprising broke on .............And it also could do with a slight improvementb) dwudziestego drugiego stycznia dwa tysiące trzynaścietrzynastego.
Conservatist - | 3 22 Jan 2013 #3Actually, the first one is correct and the second one is not (assuming you want to translate your sentence - today is ...).You would use "dwudziestego drugiego" when saying something like "This happened on the 22nd ..." or "Let's meet on the 22nd ...".
