Google Translate generally does a pretty decent job at translating Polish->English. Generally, but not always!
Try: Auto jest teraz u mojego taty.
Google: Baby is now at my dad.

On the other hand
Auto jest teraz w serwisie.
becomes a more reasonable
Car is now on the site.

I guess the translation auto=baby in induced by the context of the 1st sentence, notably because of the word "dad". But... can auto ever mean baby in Polish???? Where does google take it from?

I can't see what your problem is. I just typed the sentence 'Auto jest u mojego taty' and google gave me a decent translation...

Maybe there were some recent searches for cars, or polish cars, or cars for sale... Google is scary.

jump_bunny: try this

translate.google.co.uk/translate_t?hl=&ie=UTF-8&text=Auto+jest+u+mojeg o+taty&sl=pl&tl=en#

I get "Baby is with my dad"

It depends if you use capital A and lowercase a. Writing "Auto..." the translation is baby, but as jump_bunny showed above "auto..." you get car.

That's it! Very singular, isn't it? (BTW, I find google translate just amazing. Automatic translation has always been a hugely difficult problem but now it's really beginning to become useful!)
