I was wondering about the woman's name Jean. What would the equivalent be in Polish?

Zanetta (probably; if you're a foreign parent, push for the foreign name, if that is what you& the wife want).

Thanks.

My great aunt was born in Poland. I knew her as Jean, so I wondered what her name was in Polish.

Jean can be Janina or Jania in Polish (a feminine form of Jan/John).

I had an aunt in America whose name was Genowefa but in English everybody knew her as Jean.

Speaking of misleading adverts, this one attached itself to the PF:

I received a copy of her birth certificate. Her name was Janina.

Thanks for your help, everyone!
