I couldn't be bothered to start a new thread to ask if this is right and what it actually means.

Correct spelling or not, is that what I should(n't) be saying?
At work, one chap (Mr. A.) kept telling me to say it to another colleague (Mr.B) whenever he started talking about the girl at work who he fancied.
Mr. B would say something like 'Have you seen where Miss X is?'
Mr. A would then start nudging me with his elbow as a prompt to say this line I never quite mastered.
It helps to learn a language from someone who isn't whispering under their breath so as not to be heard by anyone else.

I was listening to a HEMP GRU song and they said the word, I think its spelled "klampkie" I think it means gun? is that slang?

Also I heard someone call someone a "spanjak" I belive thats how it is spelled? Is that slang for something?
pro_esik  Nov 4, 07, 10:33    #100
Hhmm... hard to tell
Spanjak - maybe CWANIAK ? That means sly fellow, slick... ? Sth like that.
And klampkie - slightest idea.. but maybe KLAMKA ? KLAMKĘ ? - that simply means a GUN.

A while ago I came across this text in Polish slang:

Tracham sobie dziś bryką jak wporzo umcyk, z ziomalem pingpongiem. Nagle lukam, a tu śmiga dojara, szmaty ma cool, aż widać jej majtki z uzdą, na galach matriksy, normalnie zajebaszczo. Koleś szybko zlepił bałwana i pyta - ściemniamy?

There's an exact English equivalent of 'na zdrowie' - 'to your health' (zdrowie = health)

A shortened petty form of the cheer is often: 'zdrowko' or 'zdrowenko' (literally: 'healthie').

There's an almost exact English equivalent of 'do dna' - 'bottoms up' (dno = bottom).

Polish slang is often colourful indeed. Take, e.g., the vulgar phrase 'ch... na kaczych lapach'...
