^I hope my Polish makes some sense, I asked the same question in English a while back but got no response... I really want to keep learning Polish but there is such a shortage of material like this, of which there is absolutely shitloads for people learning English.

I'd really like to find some films, series, cheesy soap operas, cartoons (anything!) that I can watch in Polish with Polish subtitles so I can improve my listening and overall comprehension at the same time.

If anyone knows where I can download anything like this, I'd really appreciate your help.

Dziękuję bardzo.

the best option is Polish TV + teletext (page with service for deaf people)

The subtitles for deaf people are not strictly word by word transcriptions.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have satellite TV so unfortunately cannot get any Polish stations with teletext. I've checked out the Telewizja Polska website and found some subtitled progams there, but (as mentioned by a.k) the subtitles are more like a summary of the script rather than the word for word transcriptions you can find on some DVDs. So it seems that Polish DVDs with subtitles (wherever I can find those) might be my only option. It's a shame there isn't really this kind of material available for Polish language learners...
