Hi,

What does it mean "w tyte" ? I saw these expressions :
- Osz ty w tytę.
- Ja Cię w tytę.

Actually it's "w tytę". I found it here :

But I was curious to know exactly what the word tyta means. And the second expression :
"ja Cię w tytę".

Maybe bugging or hassling or really irritating somebody? My friend sat opposite, from Podlasia, doesn't know the word tyta - perhaps it's specific nowadays to that expression. Perhaps it's an undergarment - I'm thinking ants in the pants.

Tyta(from tytka) also means "paper bag" in slang in central PL(Łódzkie)
Walić w tyte-to inhal glue or paint thinner from a paper bag.

Ożesz w tytę= ożesz w mordę= ja cię kręcę= w mordę jeża etc
it doesn't have any particular meaning; it only express surprise- its a reaction of something surprising and/or unbelievable.

Every Pole at least understands pyta lol I have never heard about tyta though.

Somebody gave the answer with the translation of tyta, and also the general meaning of the expression and its variant. So I think it's OK now ;-). Have a good weekend all.
