Hello everyone.

I am a Polish teacher. I teach my students via skype. I am not expensive. I am trying to do my best and I am not watching on the clock to finish the lesson as fast as possible. I have a good book to learn. If you buy the same we will do first step to improve your Polish. Because of my technical background technical Polish is also available to learn.
If you wanna know me closer, please write an email.

A lot of people wanna learn polish, I think. But why? ; ) It's really hard. I am a Pole so I know what I say. Polish is very... irregular. And... polish has a difficult pronunciation.

(I hope that the message hasn't got any error/mistake...)

It's not perfect but it's pretty good ; )

Surprised at what you say though - yes, Polish seems to be difficult but the two positive things about it would seem to be:

1) It is reasonably logical - certainly more so than English. E.g. a "rule" works about 90% of the time unlike in English where it seems to be about 41% of the time.

2) Pronunciation - difficult, but consistent at least - again, unlike English. I speak very little Polish but I can read it aloud, albeit hesitantly, with reasonable confidence - and poles can understand me.

During my Polish course in Cracow, Poland (Polish spelling: Krakow) I was using the book "Polski Krok po Korku" (Polish Step by Step). I think you can buy that book via Internet. It's really well-written.

I wish Pimsleur would make more levels for Polish. I learn very well with them. But their Polish is one full level only and even after 3 levels of other languages you have lots to learn. I just don't learn with the normal book formats.

Dzien dobry :-)

I've started to learn Polish about 5 years ago thanks to my friend from Poland. At first it was TERRIBLE! It was so hard to pronounce all those sz, cz, rz... I recommend going to Poland for a little while. In August I took up a Polish course in Cracow, and it definitely helped me to correct my pronounciation. I also met a lot of Poles and acquired some slang words too... :)

This is the first time in my life that I didn't register to a possibly interesting site... because of too complicated for me password rules:

The password must have at least 8 characters, at least 1 digit(s), at least 1 lower case letter(s), at least 1 upper case letter(s), at least 1 non-alphanumeric character(s)

I'll probably spoil a buissnes of some guys, but I may help you with learning polish, like correct your polish writing, tell what form are common, what official, learn some slang if you wish, make a sound file with speaking of some words etc. etc (It's up to you actually) for free. I got behelor title in journalism, so I know polish at least sufficient. My english is 5/10, so, as return I'd like to ask you rarely (via mail) about english idioms or stuff like that (simple question/answer, no bothering at all). If anyone is interestet let me know on donpeyot@go2.pl. I'm native ofc

I'm learning Polish too...I have a beautiful Polish guy and also many Polish friends and my guy is happy because sometimes he doesn't understand some words in English so he can't wait for me to learn this...he'll be waiting a while before I'm even good at this hahaha...

I think the best way to learn is repetition and consistent everyday...and face to face with others speaking it...also a night class or weekend class ...

And I will also say listen and watch Polish music on Youtube !!! I do this and repeat the songs over and over and some I can sing haha...also some have lyrics with the song so you can see how it is spoken...it's a fun way also...

I went to Poland last year and picked up good books [also a picture dictionary] that had a cd in it they also have a website you can buy online and I think it is very good one...
www.supermemo.eu

www.bookdepository.com also has many Polish books too...

Byki has free download and I find this a good one too...it has flash cards...
