To wear: nosić, nieść, ponieść?

I'm confused about the meanings of the verb 'to wear, carry', nosić, nieść, ponieść. I think these are respectively: indeterminate imperfective, determinate imperfective, and perfective.

Can I say, with the meaning wear: Zwykle noszę spódnicę (I usually wear a skirt), ale dzisiaj niosę dżinsy (but today I am wearing jeans). Tylko raz poniosłem moją nową bluzkę (I have only worn my new blouse once)?

HI, Róża!

Great question. The noun nosić is normally used as you said it - however when it's relating 'wearing', it's frozen in some usual forms:

Zwykle noszę spódnicę (I usually wear a skirt), - właśnie tak.

ale dzisiaj niosę dżinsy (but today I am wearing jeans). - dzisiaj noszę dżinsy, dzisiaj mam na sobie dżinsy.

Tylko raz poniosłem moją nową bluzkę (I have only worn my new blouse once)?
Tylko raz założyam moją nową bluzkę, tylko raz miałam na sobie moją nową bluzkę, tylko raz nosiłam moją nową bluzkę.

Only that sentence is correct. other mean not to wear but to carry but for ex in hand. :)

Today I'm wearing jeans - dziś NOSZĘ spodnie
I have only worn my new blouse once - tylko raz NOSIŁAM moją nową bluzkę

Nosić- to wear clothes, to carry for ex things in hand, bag more less regularly. As you mentioned "I usually wear...."
Nieść - means - to carry (in hand, in bag) in that moment, now
Ponieść - means to carry for a while, or for ex" ponieść klęskę/karę" - to be defeated/punished

To add to this excellent explanation of Nana, I'd like to remark that these two very similar verbs will decline in a different way:
nosić --> ja noszę, ty nosisz, on nosi, my nosimy, wy nosicie, oni noszą
nieść --> ja niosę, ty niesiesz, on niesie, my niesiemy, wy niesiecie, oni niosą.

As one foreigner said to me once: why should you conjugate and decline everything in Polish? For example:
Ja noszę kalosze;
Ty nosisz kalosisz;
On nosi kalosi;
My nosimy kalosimy;
Wy nosicie kalosicie;
Oni noszą kaloszą.

Indeed, why do we decline everything!?

Or the associated noun, uniesienie. An odd word to say the least.

Therefore quite similar to German 'tragen' = 'to carry' as well as 'to wear'.

Nieść - means - to carry (in hand, in bag) in that moment, now
Ponieść - means to carry for a while, or for ex" ponieść klęskę/karę" - to be defeated/punished

This is the essential part.

"Przynieść" (perfective) = to bring, is likely another derivative, since the act of bringing (by hand!) and carrying (by definition only by hand) are essentially the same-:)
