Germans and Poles – Fiction or Myth?

Oh yes, I think I don't represent majority of Poles because I have more informations than majority of Poles ... ;)

I think majority of Poles here are form USA and don't know everything ...

probably because you find people who disagree with your point of view difficult, especially as your are so biased through your Polishness :)

Don't blame all Polish people because of him.....not all Polish people think like that, I promise! :)

I don't believe there is much to be ashamed about. Most every nation in history has performed some form of ethnic cleansing. Berlin thought nothing of cleansing traditional Czech and Polish lands and replacing the people with ethnic Germans. What Poland did is also no worse than what the Russians did, stealing Konigsberg from the Germans in East Prussia and transforming it into Kaliningrad. The difference between the two actions is that the Russians stole a historic German region. Poles reclaimed a region (Silesia) they had a historic right to.

My 3 pens (Moje 3 grosze) :P

1. Past:
- Germans started the war
- West allies surendered Poland to Comunist Regime
- Comunist Regime made "reconstuction of central Europe" taking Polish eastern teritories for USSR and giving eastern German teritories to Poland
Conlusion:
Not our fault, sorry.

2. Present:
- I live in Poland
- I have German friends
- I have German boss
- I'm not afraid of few maniacks that want to revert history (Steinbach, Kaczynski)
- We are allies, friends and co-members of EU and NATO
Conclusion:
The borders in europe are fixed. Remember and learn from the past, but look for the future. We are now one Europe, there are greater things to think about than painfull past.
