I have a feeling that it's the same people. And it is only a select few British people. Poor kids....feeling a bit insecure with themselves feeling the need to pick on someone to feel better.

Anyway....I'm so mad that the US got "stomped" smile by Ghana. Oh well...maybe next time. The team is still new though.

I bet the Germany vs Brazil will be in the final (again.. smile. Brazil will win -- but it's getting boring, isn't it? Personally I'd like to see Holland or Ghana in the finals smile.

For me Brazil has disappointed a bit.. I don't think Holland will go to the finals, but maybe they can, everything is possible in the world cup smile

In an award overshadowed by debate over the merits or otherwise of runner-up Cristiano Ronaldo, Germany striker Lukas Podolski was presented Friday with the trophy for best young player at the World Cup.

Hmm. Guess that's right.

Can anyone tell me where Poland is going to play there early matches in the 2008 European Championships in Austria-Swtizerland? All I can find is this link-which lists the schedule but not the venue for the dates

http://www.eofl.co.uk/eu2008/zpoland.htm

Wouldn't mind going to one if I can all can.

Also, if you wanted to see a "Pro" football team as opposed to "minor leagues" like in the U.S. which would be the ones to see?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Cup

I'd guess these teams? Wisła Kraków, Lech Poznań, Wisła Płock, and Legia Warszawa seeing how they had members of the national football team come from these teams? I'd just want to be sure to see the best talent as long as I am going to watch a match I'd want to see the best.

Where can I get a list of the sports venues. Love the new hiring for the 2008 Euro Championships by the way. The new Dutch coach should be great.

Most likely they will play in Warsaw (or maybe Chorzow).

Yes, Wisla Krakow and Legia Warszawa are the best Polish soccer teams in the Polish League (Ekstraklasa). So if you managed to get tickets for the game between these teams you will surely be on the right game .

Nonsense. They are paid peanuts because they play like peanuts. They are overpaid for what they represent. They just don't have the talent and are lazy. Paying them more would just spoil them even more --> for the tax payers' money.

How did 3 players with polish surnames end up playin for germans even if they were born there. Many irish players are born in england yet still opt to play for the country of there roots. But then i suppose u cannot blame them opting for the germans i mean no dissrespect but who more likely to win tings. Can anyone tell me what the Glasgow Celtic fanbase like in Poland now that Boruc @ Zurawski play for Celtic i hope there are many green @ white jerseys being worn around the towns and cities in poland!!!!!

Klose and that other guy were born in Poland - but they are Silesians (some Silesians view themselves as a separate nation) and they moved to Germany at a very young age.

i think that they feel more germans than polish.i respect their choice, they were born in poland but germany gave them everything-it is nothing to be ashamed of

this has nothing to do with money.it seems like australians don't understand soccer.it is about mentality, talent, character and skills

Maybe they don't understand soccer, but they can play better for sure than the Polish team (in other words, the Australians "have the balls").

a typical statement of a person who doesn't read what others say.i am NOT saying that the Polish team is better or not.what i say is that, that monies are not the most important to get trophies.there are others factors to consider.do you think that the poles would get less money for winning the world cup than aussies?

I agree. All i'm saying is that it seems the Polish players didn't care and didn't fight as much as they should have.

I mean, stadiums. Where can I get a list of all the sports stadiums/complexes whatever you call them in Poland where the teams will actually play these matches?

I'd like a list of the stadiums and which corresponding team plays there.
