Take bus 406 to the city centre.

Get off at the bus stop Podwale/PDT (Renoma), then take tram number 6 or 7, which will take you to very close to the hotel.

Single bus/tram tickets are 2.00 PLN. All-day and longer period tickets are cheap (a 5 day ticket is about 20 PLN I think). Tickets are available from a ticket machine at the airport bus stop.

A taxi is the easiest but the most expensive, around 50 PLN.

When i was in Wroclaw (January) i took this bus to the city centre and then got a taxi from the rail station to the Qubus hotel. Taxi was 20 zloty but from the train station you could walk it in about 15-20 minutes. Hotel is good with a nice short walk to the rynek or Dominika.

My husband and I are going tp Weoclaw next month with our 6 children. Very worried that they may not behave themselves. Will the Poles tolerate them, if they are a bit unruly ?

They can sometimes be a bit wild. I do try but they are always trying .

In cases of unruly children, especially visitors, we like to grab them by the ankles and dip them in the river for a few minutes. It usually cures the problem.

Don't worry what they say! Make sure the children are safe and happy. There will always be someone who hates children and no matter how well behaved the child is they will always complain. So ignore their stares and remarks. Take care of them and make sure they're happy and safe. Kids will be kids.

you might get the odd look i guess ... but dont let them run amok ... otherwise you may get frowned upon, like anywhere in world to be honest ...

Tell them if they cant behave then no more holiday EVER! seriously .. where are you coming from to holiday in Poland the UK or USA .... i would start telling your kids to behave now you have a month in which to do so ... if they cant behave now leave them at home with a relative instead sounds harsh but maybe it will wake them up and think that hey if we behave we can have the privelge of a nice holiday with mum and dad .. than risk it in a country to which i am guessing you have never visited before?

failing that .. if they play up ... embarrass the kids .. and you do what they are doing and see if they like it .. works wonders ... !

You'll end up being arrested by the Police my Franek says ;)

Do Polish people slap their children when they are naughty ? We are both Teachers and do not believe in corporal punishment (on our own children) but ones we teach well,..............

Wroclaw I hope the town is not full of people like you there.

I was joking.

Your kids won't have any problems here. Even if they are naughty.

Everyone understands that kids will be kids.

If your a teacher and you cant keep control of your own kids where is the education system heading in your country of orogin? That is a totaly stupid question anyway and Wroclaw's response was well in line and on the level with your stupidity.

Not as stupid as your spelling. 'orogin' should be origin,
'totaly' should be 'totally'. 'Your' should be 'you're' it stands for 'you are'.

Any more corrections will have to be charged for on a word for word basis I'm afraid. ;(

One out of ten for effort Wroclaw Boy.
