What gift to buy for Polish friend / ex lover?

Hi there,

I had a very brief relationship with a lovely Polish girl but we both knew it could never be. Our paths crossed but now we have to go our separate ways, which is hard, but life still goes on.

I would like to buy this lady a gift to remember me by and I would like this gift to signify a little of our love but more our friendship together.

I guess this is a general question (more than a Polish specific one) but what kind of gift could I buy to represent this? I was thinking of a nice piece of jewelry but I don't know if there are certain things I should avoid which could be interpreted differently across cultures.

Thank you

Jon

Jewelry !! Diamonds!! She will love it!! lol But it's quite expensive, so leave it for later on when you marry the love of your life :D

If it was me, I'd like a cute teddy bear :P (not too cheap pls lol)

A silk scarf? Feminine, but not suggestive of a commitment.

Problem with jewelry, roses, chocs. etc. -- implies a romantic commitment.
