Wolf's right - lot's of crime, low(-ish) pay and you need a car to get around.

However, there is one positive side. I spent 6 weeks in Cape Town in early 2006, and didn't hear Polish spoken on the streets even once! It was absolutely bloody marvellous! Especially after London, where you can't walk anywhere five metres without someone shouting " K*rwa!"

On second thoughts. South Africa is a great place to emigrate...
Poland is almost as corrupt as the RSA, so all that experience with croneyism will come in really handy, especially in Johannesburg.

Why don't all you Poles leave and go there... An excellent solution to overcrowding in the UK and Ireland!

Why would anyone want to immigrate to South Africa?
I am not being facetious. Please tell me.

Nice weather. Good barbecues. Wonderful scenery. Lots of space. Happy faced people (most of them middle class whites, admittedly) .... That's just a few reasons. And if you have enough dosh for 2 homes you can avoid winters altogether....

I think I might have to immigrate to South Africa because I can no longer afford to live in Britain, and the country is anyway completely flooded with Poles, who I once used to really like, but I now can't stand the sight of.

Yeh, that sucks. Really sucks a*se, in a South Park kinda way. And no sign of it getting much better, at least not in the next 5-10 years. But don't want to mention that here, because it'll put off the Polacy z Polski...

No, South Africa... wonderful country. Land of opportunities, and lots of jobs.... Did you here that .... lots of jobs.
I hear Ryan Air will soon be flying from Rzeszów to Johannesburg. Seats start at 100 pln. One Way....
Roll up, Roll up.

I welcome the Poles and other people from across Europe to the UK. The horrible British attitude to our own people and visitors desperately needs diluting, and integrating with others will help this! (and I'm British myself!!)

who I once used to really like, but I now can't stand the sight of.

As the Poles work and earn money they are beginning to change and become quite snobbish. Money and class go together and people do become very nasty. Here in Guildford there are some really nasty rich Poles.
