Giving someone a second "chance"

It's that time of year again when I find myself reflecting on the past 12 months gone by, what has been good, what has been not so good, my actions/inactions, stuff I feel I could have done better, where I could have been kinder. So getting to the point, back in May time there was this guy, Andy, English not Polish though. I met him through my part time job and we immediately liked each other and went for a drink together. Date went well and we subsequently had a day out together, which also went well, but for some reason I decided not to see him again, I felt there was no "spark" and I was honest with him about this. We talked on the phone and that was it really. When I look back I realise I was still very much stuck on my ex from last year and instead of appreciating the company of someone who seemed to really like me and who was down to earth, kind and who I did originally find attractive, I was hankering after the past and not living in the present. So looking back, I realise I dropped a potentially good friendship / blossoming relationship by being stuck on Pawel. And to make matters worse I only went and got "involved" with some other guy who was as bad, if not worse, than Pawel, and repeated some of the same mistakes all over again. So I took the bull by the horns the other day and contacted Andy and he seems really pleased to hear from me, I was honest with him about my feelings and now we're going to meet for a drink :0)))

Good on you Flower, I hope if nothing comes of it you keep a strong friendship atleast.

It seems like he still has feelings for you, or he wouldn't have swallowed his pride to make another date. Now, play it cool....it's obvious he likes the chase or he wouldn't still like you after you blew him off. So don't go crazy....retain your cool....but I know you Aquarians are good at that.

Well guys I am pleased to report that last night was ermmmm... well..... fantastic.... and ermmm a few beers were consumed and ermmmm.... well how can I put this on the forum .. some sparks.. ahem.. flew.. and I really must have had my head screwed on entirely the wrong way to not have noticed that he's a fit, funny, gorgeous sexy guy! Hopefully seeing him tomorrow, going over to his house for a spot of .. ahem.. lunch :0D Watch this space!!!!

Hi guys, quick update, it's going sooooo well with Andy, he's lovely, kind, generous, sexy and gorgeous..... and why I couldn't see it before I really don't know. We've been in each other's pockets for the past few days and I've only left him to go to work :0D. And he seems to be as keen on me as I am on him..

Dont kid yourself, if you liked him that much you would have fancied him from the start. Some women just go for assholes some go for men with money some for Polish guys etc..

I did, that's the thing.. he came into the pub where I was working and eyes met kind of thing... but even if I didn't, don't you think someone can grow on you as you get to know them??

I hope so Sunflower as I have been with a man for three years and while we have a wonderful time together he is not ready to get serious about a future. I hope that one day I grow on him a bit more!

wow your story ,is so uplifting and gives me hope ,that maybe a girl i liked ,will come to realise what she missed out on ,by not choosing me and seeing i am different to 99% of other men ,i wont cheat or lie to her and not look at another woman in her presence ,why do men look if a prettier girl enters the room than the one they are with ,in my eyes if you love a girl she is the beautifuliest girl in the world in your eyes .
