I can more objectively perceive the world outside - regardless if I live in the US, Poland, or any other country. Plus - living in Poland during the socialist system "toughened me up," so living in democracy is a piece of cake now :).

It's also sometimes nice to be able to oppose to some stereotypes about "Poles being dumb."
