Hi,

I am actually traveling to Poland on Monday (i am British), and I have just realised that my password expires in June. I knew some countries states that you need 6 months validity on your passport when you travel I am just wondering if Poland is the same.

I phoned the polish Emabassy and they stated that yes you do need 6 months, but then again the British Embassy are stating that you do not need 6 months on it to travel to poland. Is anybody able to clarify this situation for me
cheers

your passport as in the international booklet thingy or your British ID (do you actually have those)?
the latter is sufficient when going to Poland, or anywhere within EU.
you can also use your driving license as it's almost exactly the same design as the Polish one and is also a valid ID

I believe, once you're there you can also go to the British Embassy and get a temporary paper in case your passport looses its validity. i don't know, however, if you get it on the spot.

how long would it take to renew your passport in the UK, can't you fix it before the end of the week?

I don't think Brits have ID's.. that the whole thing why immigrants jump on trucks on get into Great Britain because they don't use those.. right?

If you're a citizen of a country that's member of the E.U. & you have have a valid ID you can travel wherever you want to in the E.U. on that ID. Well, I can, don't think it's different for British citizens.

If they give you troubles, just go to the embassy & get a temp. thing, no problem really

Hi all,
i am italian (from Rome) and i have planned to visit Krakow (and its suburbs) this summer (August). Is there anybody who may give hospitality to me? I don't like touristic accomodations and I prefer ethical travels. If you have suggestions about places to stay please let me know! Thanks.
