Going to Wroclaw next week (28th-29th July)

As part of my next trip to Poland, I'm going to be in Wroclaw for a couple of days (for the first time in many years).

I'm a simple man who doesn't need too much to keep me happy (lol), so does anyone know where I can go to get decent coffee and pierogi?

Ah, I wish I was in Wroclaw again!

There is a nice coffee shop at the north-eastern corner of the Rynek. The cakes are good. There are a few coffee shops but I've only ever been in this one. There is also one on the road (on the LHS) that leaves the Rynek (Wita Stwosza) and heads out towards Dominikanski.

There is a nice coffee shop on Swidnicka. Go downstairs for the comfy chairs

I'd be happy to join you, but I'm in Gateshead that weekend.

heeheeeheee!!!!!

Hi all... I'm back!!! :D

A few days spent with apparently pissed-off relatives (lol) in Warszawa was followed by a quick flight south to Wroc³aw. Isn't it a lovely city? I'm not sure which was more of shock: enjoying my brief stay in Wroc³aw so much, or finding out how beautiful some rural parts of Dolny ¦l±sk are. It's been a VERY long time since I was there, so I couldn't really remember what it was like, so I was expecting a dump which resembled the former coalfields/steelmaking areas of the Midlands and south Yorkshire, but instead it looks more like North Wales. :D

Anyway, after a brief stay in Bielawa, which included a quick trip across the border to the Czech Republic, it was back to my beloved Warszawa for a few more days, spoiled only by some failed attempts to get a decent Polish PAYG mobile phone on Monday (sorted today - a snip at 180 PLN! :D ) and this evening's struggle with one of those horrid luggage lockers at Dworzec Centralny which nearly made me late for my flight grrrr.

Actually, that might not have been such a bad thing, because I'm missing Polska already. ;)
