Oglądać telewizor lub oglądać telweizję?

Are they both correct in the sense of watching television programmes?

Oglądać telewizję i preferable. Telewizor is the TV set. In English we do not normally say 'I'm watching the TV set' which is regarded as an appliance rather than a programme.
