Are the context of these sentenses correct?

do i have the context of these sentenses correct,

if I want to chat I will, tell, you = jeśli chcę rozmowiać będę powiedz ciębie

where do you live = czy pan mieszkasz

when I go to town I sit and watch the world go by = kiedy iść do miasto, siedziałem I zobacz świąt pójde obok

what do you do when you go home at night = czy pan robi , kiedy idziesz domu w noc

These translations do not make sense at all and would make any native laugh.
Unfortunately computer programs are very bad at translating to Polish language.

i never used the translators they do a bad job, and so do I it seems

I'm an American living in Poland and SLOWLY learning Polish, but even I could see that this wasn't right. Czy is used when you ask a question and expect a yes or no answer. Czy ma piwo? Nie ma. :). Is there any beer? No, there isn't. It's not literal.

Where is gdzie. Gdzie jest xxx? Where is xxx. Gdzie ona jest? Where is she? Gdzie mieszkasz? Where do you live?

Jeśli zechcę rozmawiać powiem ci o tym.

Gdzie pan mieszka?

Kiedy idę do miasta, siedzę i oglądam (or: patrzę na, or: obserwuję) świat ("go by" doesn't translate into polish)

co pan robi, kiedy idzie do domu w nocy

above (my) translation is literal and gramatically correct but the sense is wrong, because it means: what do you do during going home (when it is already dark outside)... do you take pepper gas with to defend yourself from the muggers, etc?

I would translate it in different way:

co pan robi w nocy po powrocie do domu (what do you do at night after your return to home)

there is no pan (sir/mister) in there. where do you live? = gdzie mieszkasz?

Would the first quote not be a formal way of saying this? Using robi (third person singular) with Pan and the second quote more informal? I'm not saying anyone is wrong, just trying to learn from this myself.

It would be if you were talking to a man yes, use pani if talking to a woman.

It is a bit of a weird question though, and a bit personal one for a formal question too...

Useing word Pan/Pani is formal. We say Pan/Pani to strangers and elders.

Btw. how would be in English Pan/Pani in such stentences like above ?

We are not so formal in the UK, so you can say "where do you live?" to anyone. A waiter or policeman might say "where do you live sir/madam/". Ma'am is reserved for female royalty.

my try would be: jeśli będe chciał pogadać to Ci dam znać

with "pan" it's formal

i tried to think of a good Polish translation of 'watch the world go by' that gives the essence of that phrase. watching the world go by in a town is witnessing the everyday life, the everyday rush without taking part in it and from a relaxed perspective. how about

Kiedy idę do miasta, siadam i obserwuję życie toczące się wokół mnie.
or
Kiedy idę do miasta, siadam i obserwuję jak życie płynie swoim rytmem.

nit-picking, but it's a school, like, innit.

kiedy idę do miasta, to siadam gdzieś i obserwuję przepływające obok życie.

But I will not bet on which is better. Just my take on it.

im a bit confused here, some say that it shuld be 'co' and other say it should be 'kiedy'. i realise my grammer is crap, the post that pat gave was fine and made sense to me, i'm sure i will get better at it, but was it understandable, i dont seem to get the grasp of the perfwect grammer yet, but i thought this time i came close to being undertsood.

im not familiar with the word toczące. and what is the difference between chcę and zechcę
im confused with przepływające, my dictionary says it means to swim up?

most of the words were ok but the sentence order and grammar errors unfortunately made it almost impossible to understand i'm afraid. Polish is far from easy but the more you practice the more you learn :)

Don't get discouraged right at the beginning. It's all about basics! Learn the basics (how to ask questions about things, how to make a statement and different endings for different genders) and build up from there.

other useful words when asking questions:

kto means who
czyj, czyja, czyje mean whose (masculine, femine, neutral/plural form)
który, która, które mean which (quality description, which of some amount of items) (masculine, femine, neutral/plural form)
jak mean how (adverb description)
jaki, jaka, jakie mean which kind (adjective description) (masculine, femine, neutral/plural form)

czy means if (like in sentence: I asked him if he's going to a party)


Examples:

How is she like? - Jaka ona jest?
How is she? - Jak z nią?
Which one is she? - Która to? or Która z nich to ona?
What time is it? - Która godzina? (literally: which hour is it?)
Whose baby is it? - Czyje to dziecko?
Who's the father of the baby? - Kto jest ojcem dziecka?
Are you going to a party - Idziesz na imprezę?
I asked him if he's going to a party - Zapytałem go czy idzie na imprezę
I wonder if you go for a dinner with me - Zastanawiałem się czy nie pójdziesz ze mną na kolację?
I wonder if you could close the window - Czy mógłbyś zamknąć okno? (the word czy makes it more polite in this case)


Note that many of those setntences don't translate word by word into English and that's your biggest mistake that you think that if you take an english sentence and translate it word by word you will have correct sentence. This mistake is called "linguistic carbon copy" and it's pretty often for unexperience language learners whatever language their are learning.

Questions which in English start with do/does,are/is/am,has/have,will have no question word at the beginning of the sentence.

Musisz jutro wstawać wcześnie? - Do you have to get up early tommarow?

Mind that if at the end of this sentence there had been no question mark, it would has been an imperative statement:

Musisz jutro wstawać wcześnie! - You have to get up early tomarrow!
