chaza: that clears some of my questions, therefore because taki can be more than 'such' do i decide what i want it to mean? in you example of the dancing, you used 'clutz'. could i have used 'pratt', 'left footed idiot', 'john travolta'.

It has to be something which you see in your mind and you tries to describe it by word taki.
Przypominasz mi takiego kolesia, z którym chodziłam do liceum
You remind me a guy who was attending high school with me.
(takiego = taki in biernik case)
You can also say it without taki word:
Przypominasz mi kolesia, z którym chodziłam do liceum.
Tańczysz, jak łamaga co ze mn± chodziła na kurs tańca.
It doesn't change the meaning of sentence at all. When useing taki you are showing (literally or just in your mind) a thing or a person you are describing.
I hope I don't mix everything up in your mind. I think as this word is not necessary in any gramarical construction, you can just think of it as = such and don't use it if you feel you don't get the idea of it :)
