it depends on the area living in largely ... i live in an area (total population near on 300,000 and in this 4-6 thousand are polish people and not a single shooting ....

.... this is just a general assumption made in areas that have mainly gang related feuds or shootings .... !!!

Follow the link for 2001 statistics on murders in Europe in table 1.1 of the document below. No doubt the figures for subsequent years in the UK are worse but before you get too paranoid about our violent society look at the right hand column.

what i am trying to say is that in poland we have certain laws that prevent this type of behaviour, also the culture is different...

interesting,,, if you look at countries with some religion they tend to have better figures... surprisingly

Yeah. It depends on where you are.

As my Dad and I have said for about 5 years, maybe longer i forget when we first said :P

The richer are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

The people in the middle are ok. But our problems are growing - why? F***ing TAXES!!!!! Pardon my french.

No YOU miss the point.. I am well aware that you were comparing it to the American dream.. I was merely trying to be humorous... OK, lets all shut the **** up.

This is true. There are a few areas in certain parts of the country that are currently having problems regarding gangs/shootings. My part has roughly half a million people and no shootings. Most deaths are results of fatal road accidents.
