it's 6 AM, so I may write something wrong, but let's hope not :)

Wszystkiego Najlepszego z okazji Dnia Matki,

Chciałbym podziękować Pani i Panu [+ a name/surname, but it should be in the correct case, for example Pawłowi, if Paweł, or Jerzemu, if Jerzy] za gościnę w Waszym i uprzyjemnianie mojego pobytu. Naprawdę nie mogę się już doczekać następnej wizyty i bardzo tęsknię za wszystkimi i za wszystkim. Trzymajcie się i jeszcze raz Wszystkiego Najlepszego z okazji Dnia Matki, Pani [+ a name/surname, in the correct case]

======
P.S. Do you know that in Poland the Mothers Day is celebrated on 26th May (unlike many other European countries when it's on 11th May, if I'm not mistaken)

Wszystkiego Najlepszego z okazji Dnia Matki

Is this what you would say to your mother on this day, or is this how it is adressed because of the content of the letter? I'm asking because I want to wish my mother the standard mother's day greeting (in Polish). I know she will love it.

I understand it, but it seems lengthy is why I ask. Not what I would expect(because I only know words, poor grammar).

dzenkuję bardzo! (thank you very much!) thats my "sneaking in as much polish typing as possible" :)

Kennitz:
it seems lengthy is why I ask.

it expresses a wish of All the best (Wszystkiego Najlepszego), or you can replace it with something else: Much of Happiness (Dużo szczęścia), Good/Much health (Dużo zdrowia) etc.

z okazji = on the occasion (so you just want to use this oppurtunity to wish someone good things for an undefinite period of time)
we use this expression, because the direct translation of Happy Mothers Day (Szczęśliwego Dnia Matki) would somehow imply that you wish her a happy day, just this one day, not much generous of you :)
I guess people don't think of this the same way in English, they simply don't reflect on the sense of this sentence, take it as a standard expression of good will, but in Polish it's not working. You also can't translate Happy Birthday to Szczęśliwych Urodzin (for the very same reason); Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku (Happy New Year) is OK, because you wish somebody happiness for the full year to come (and you can re-new these wishes after 365 days, so they remain valid all the time).

P.S.

Always above and beyond, thanks Krzysztof!

By the way, my typo was actually a fast fingered typo. But boy do I look stupid now. :)

Thanks again!
