I think it`s all the same around the World. Do You know how looks 21 birthday party of all young people in USA? It is drinking frenzy.

In Ireland too! I was in the Army reserver for four years ( a great experience) but when we were off duty in the middle of nowwhere - drink was all that was there!!! crazy!!!

And its a sad state of affairs in the British isles (geographically, not politically - this includes the island of ireland) Drinking culture is ridiculous!

And the eastern Europeans (not all) fit in very nicely to this! And from being in Poland - i can see the same culture is there.

I dont drink as much as i used to - maybe 3-5 pints over an entire night and maybe a short or two for special occasions but even then - i am prob not in the pub more than once a month!!

What are yer views? drinking level?

I am Polish. I dont drink at all.

See...drinking is common world-wide. I cannot believe that it is a unique Polish culture. Poles can be a happier nation if we can get rid of this curse.

I call alcohol a Curse.

Alcohol makes us loose alot of control. Why do we have to consume this? Is this addictive, that we must consume this?... Human society cannot develop without this?

Alcohol does nothing good for us. Many people find methods to advocate its place in our society, but all is as fake as it could be. We are better without it than with it.

Alcohol, I believe, like many other elements on earth, have other ways to serve humanity. We can use it for fuel purposes, clearning purposes etc. Not everything found on earth (which are useful to manking) is for drinking and eating!

Along with Drugs (party or any other name you give it), tobbacco...alcohol should be strongly discouraged and if possible, never tasted even. My must we taste it? Why must be associate our dine with it!

Any toxic substance with can cause harm to human physic, mind or moral... should be withdrawn from his life.

This is my opinion... and it thought goes over it in a justified manner... I am sure some logic will be found.

This is true,

One thing that I have hard time with, was when my mom drank, she drank I guess
to drown her problems, which it never did, they are always there, so that was a
excuse to drink, then after my father died, she drank because what else is there
to do? then it was because she deserved it.

when i was going out, and with my friends, I never denied I did, so that would come
up too, well you drink why cant I? I couldnt argue her point till I no longer did
then it was the excuses all over again.

I no longer have my mom, but it was not the alcohol that got her it was cancer.

my older brother drinks, every day he is off, and not just beer, its Whiskey and
beer, and not just a pint, but a fifth of Whiskey.

what scares me the most about this, is I cant do something about it till he wants
to, but I dont think that day will ever come.

My problem with them is that they seem to insist on everything being Polish!!

Don't be silly. Just because there are more polish food products being sold now in GB doesn't mean that Poles insist on everything being Polish.

and they all seem to have a chip in their shoulders about World War Two etc.....

But just a little bit...

they get loud, but not the kind of loud when they start screaming: "hey....hey.... I love you man....no no, i really do.....and i'm not just say..sy...sayin that cuz i'm drunk man....i love you"

One would also find some aggressive drunkards, especially if drugs are also involved, but I agree that in general we are just a bunch of happy drunkards.

I like a drink, especially when i'n having a day out at rugby. I like the taste of my favoured tipple, and at times have a few too many for my own good. but saying that you will never see me fighting or being disorderly. It depends entirely on the individual. With some people it just enhances a nasty side that they have in them already.

Oh and well done Ireland in the rugby yesterday !!! Beer to celebrate i think,

Cheers!!

I really like Polish drinking culture if it is heavy. There is no aggressiviness in it unlike the western drinking culture. Also Poles behave well even when in total stooper, no pissing in public etc.
Poles just get emotional and talkative

Just read in the news today that one of the big drinks companies ( S & Miller?) who own Lech & Zywiec amongst others has reported a 330% increase in imports into the UK. The equivalent of 17.2 million pints were sold in pubs, supermarkets & off licenses in the UK last year. Even with the fact that at least 5% of this was the personal responsibility of my golfing partner that's a lot of beer. Conclusion - there are a lot of thirsty Poles and also a lot of Brits who like the stuff too.

i'd agree with the emotional and talkative bit. the rest, however, is plain rubbish.

English women are too emancipated for their own good, that is all. Just want to do all the things that men do, just so that they can be "equal". In trying hard to be like us, men, English women have lost the skill (if they ever had it) of making their men desire and fancy them. That is why they have to resort to desperate tactics like drunkenly showing their tits in public, etc.

I am not surprised so many friends of mine are going out with Eastern European girls. Far nicer characters, prettier as well...
