Help finding Father's birth place (John Chmielewski)

I was wondering if any one could help me find my Father's birth place.His name was John Chmielewski and was born Feb 24,1899.He came to the US when he was around 11 years old.I want to thank everyone in advance for any help you could give me.

Arrived Nov.7, 1923 (but then the birthdate wouldn't match)
Born ~Winiarki,Poland
Going to Buffalo,NY
Traveling with a Josefa ~ Female
Left from Danzig on the SS Polonia

Do you know if your Dad had a step-father?

where did he live in US? My grandma's maiden name was chmielewski.she had several brothers by the name of Clement, Faustyn, John and sisters of which I do not know the married name. Since I was able to get their names from Poland I was able to locate them on the Ellis Island manifests. The John that I located I list in Buffalo, New York and may have had a shoe store.. I hope we have a connection.
