Could be. Or she could think you migth be stalking her. You never know really.

Just try to talk to her, get to know her, and see how it goes

Ask questions about her home town in Poland, we usually love talking about them, since there is no place like home. Keep a smile on your face the entire time she talks about it, and if she goes into detail about it, say you'd like to visit there some time because it sounds nice.

Tell her you'd always wanted to learn more about Poland, whether you want to or not, and ask about certain cities.

Czestochowa (chest-oh-cho-vah)
Krakow (Crock-ov)
Warsaw (as basic as it gets)
Gdansk (gd-onsk)

Stufy up on Poland, learn about famous Poles, and never be afraid to ask about her home and what she liked to do. We Poles seem to love to talk about the mountain springs and the great monuments in Poland

Hope I helped

No problem. Look for others with the language help. They have been speaking Polish longer than I and can help you more than I could

Hi H3LGHAST.. sounds like you are still searching for answers. I'm a Polish female. (I'm not 100% but 1/2) I can offer you some tips if you are so interested.

If you are describing the girl in question here.. it sounds like she may have a similar appoach to life as I.

1.Don't act too desperate.(I can't stress this enough) She is Polish; she probably is a very strong-willed independent person.

2. Get creative if you ask her out on a date. Pick something original to do... besides the standard dinner at a restaurant and a movie. Do something for her... Take her on a picnic and bring everything you need.. Make or buy lunch. Bring a blanket. Go for a walk.. spark interesting converstation.. and really listen. (so on date two, you can reference something in the conversation==to show that you did pay attention)

Keep a smile on your face

This is pretty important.. I agree with you. This shows you enjoy and are haveing a genuine time.
Hope some of this helps.

That means polish girls are also very patriotic. right?

Hi,
first of all, I'm polish and not really patriotic so not all polish people are patriots if they were they wouldn't be in the UK hehehe. But seriously, I think that the best thing u can do is simply ask her out. But remember that she can be shy if she doesn't speak english. She may feel uncomfortable talking to a native speaker if her english is not fluent. So u have to do everything to make her feel good in your company.SMILE A LOT.

u are beautiful = jeste¶ piêkna (sounds "¶" and "æ" are difficult to explain, maybe someone has a good idea how to explain how to pronounce them, i suggest to pronounce "¶" like "sh")

your eyes are beautiful = masz piêkne oczy (mash piekne ochy - or something like this)
if u have more questions don't hesitate to as. I will be happy to help you.
kasia

p.s sorry for any spelling mistakes

Thanks for the tips in this thread, I'm an Englishman (28) and I don't know much about Polish women but recently a number of Polish workers started at the factory in the business where I work, so I decided to brush up on some basic phrases to be polite.

Needless to say I found out later a couple of women were among them and one of them (as well as being very beautiful) seems friendly and I like her a lot. We always exchanged smiles when passing every few days, but one day when I was walking to my car for lunch (a bit of a surprise) she said hello to me in English. After being surprised by that I responded with Dzieñ dobry which we now say to each other when we cross paths.

I will ask her about Poland next time I see her and see if we can organise a time to get have a good conversation as I would like to learn more about her and her background.

Any tips would be handy. :)

well,
one of the members is in a process of writing a manual on Polish girls/women and it's not finished yet.
He receantly quit smoking, so you understand that this might take a while for him to complete .
