hi am new here going to wroclaw on the 23rd of april this year, it will be my first time in poland, does any one live there who could show me around please as am traveling on my own many thanks vince from torquay devon england

hi there i will be arriving with approx £190.00 or 750.00 zolotes with this am hoping 2 get a hostal for 5 nights, visit the salt mines,heard there is a gun range there where you can fire a glock,eat some local food,visit some of the islands you have there and enjoy some local pubs/bars thats about it for now until i get there and see how my money will last or not lol many thanks for your help vince

Poland is not as cheap as it used to be. Doesnt sound much for accommodation, travel and food for 5 or 6 days, but possible I guess.

I think people have this image that they are going to live like kings on a very very very low budget. (them were the days 40p for a pint and 60p for a bowl of gulash in czech Rep....so long ago!)

No it's not. When we go shopping for a few things 200zl. is nothing to spend. My daughter likes to eat pancakes and maple syrup . The maple syrup is a small bottle and cost a little over 26zl.

may i add that breakfast in a hostal and 2 cheese burgers will feed me and of course half a bottle of cheep vodka per day

I would suggest a nice bowl of stew or a salad instead of the cheese burgers...much nicer and probably cheaper - as for cheap vodka, are you proposing to sit in a park or in your room and get pissed?? a few beers wont set you back that much if you dont drink in the touristy places...

Yeah Tyskie is only 2,50 a can if you buy it at the alcohol store.At a bar off season about 4,50

If he puts aside 150 zl a day he should be fine if he can do it on a budget, blimey one of the best meals I have ever eaten was in a bus station cafe in Pilsn and cost me less than a £1...it can be done

sounds good to me il drink some in my room then go pub that way its cheeper,it was the £6.02p return flight i just coulnt say no
