Russia has still got half of 'Old Poland' and that should suffice unless of course, Poland wants to buy it back!

Oh boy.
So now it appears you don't know basic geography of the area.

You know what?
You go ahead and complete grade 5 education, then come back and we'll talk, OK?

I know that Poland still wants some of its land back and I do not need to finish any education to know that.

A prime example of 'good English skills'........hahaha !!

Yes, but that is different as it is a keying error as my mind works at a different speed from my fingers as I am an untrained typist. Words like dude and gee man, sidewalk ect are simply American idioms to hide Polish ansestory and linguistic weakness-that is something quite different.

I am unaware of any territorial claims by Poland.
Can you provide me with some links that would indicate otherwise?

Russia certainly does not occupy anywhere near 1/2 of Poland's former territories. Therefore Russia can neither sell, or give any of those territories back. Ukraine, Byelorussia and some Baltic states might be in that position. And that's what I meant by your lack in education. You think you know what people think/want, but you have no idea about some basics of the region's geography, therefore your own thoughts are based on nothing more than just your thoughts which have been proven baseless so many times on this forum

I am not arguing with you and that is final.

Finally!
Now finish your education and then we can debate instead.

For a Pole who so loves Poland that you have escaped to Canada and now you are telling me to finish my education! po co? Zeby pisac bzdury z bezmozgowcem? Spasibo wam.

Escaped?
I never escaped any country. I was invited to the US to continue my studies in the English Department of Vanderbilt University.

Zeby pisac bzdury z bezmozgowcem?

I never called you "brainless'. If I thought you were brainless then it would have been silly for me to hope you can eventually get some knowledge that would allow you to debate, instead of arguing (which you have promised to stop)

I like the shape of my country and I don't feel any need to change it ;) However there are some people who argue - it's perfectly normal.

And I think Poland is in Western Europe. Russia is really big and has all east side for itself ;)

Sorry for my English, it's not very good.

No, Central. It's said that the center of Europe is in the Cracow area.
Eastern countries write more with the Cyrillic alphabet, while the Western (and Central) all write in the Latin alphabet.

Definitely Central European...

Central! It was always central, and it will be. The only time it ever could have been considered as Eastern was during the cold war; because of retarded politics.

- Does it follow Greece is 'Eastern'...?
:)
To my understanding, the East-West division in Europe is also racial one. Check out how they use these terms in German countries - Germany, Austria. And, of course, the media racists and psychopaths, also in UK, keep the division and stereotyping alive.

I consider Greece as a Southern country.

Maybe, but in geographical terms, there is a difference between East and West, North and South...

- Well, so if a large chunk of Russia should be considered European, then in 'geographical terms,' Poland should lie in Western Europe, shouldn't she? I wonder where in Europe, in 'geographical terms,' you would locate e.g. Norway?

I consider Greece as a Southern country

- I wonder why? You seem to think that Eastern European countries are those where the Cyrillic alphabet is being commonly used, don't you?

It seems that, after all, the term 'Eastern Europe' is a racial term.

It is interesting that it's the United Nations that keeps this term alive....

The Eastern 'border' of Europe is considered to be in the Ural location. So it's only a "tiny" part of Russia which is in Europe...

Poland is for me something like a "North-Central country" as i saw a few times...
Norway is a 'West-Northern' country ;)

I wonder why? You seem to think that Eastern European countries are those where the Cyrillic alphabet is being commonly used, don't you?

No Cyrillic alphabet in Greece, am I wrong ? So, in my opinion, Greece is a Southern country.

It seems that, after all, the term 'Eastern Europe' is a racial term.

Not really. What about Western, Northern or Southern Europe ? Nothing bad.

Greek alphabet was the basis for Cyrilic, compare the two and you will see that they are very similiar.

Why get all riled up by trollers and pedants who argue about something that doesnt really matter or have any effect on your life or the life of the good Polishvolk

Yeah i know that ;) But they are different anyway, and Greek alphabet is Greek alphabet, not Cyrillic alph.

This is very simple - Poland during the cold war period was always considered Eastern Europe from a Political view point - BUT Geographically it is Central Europe. My girlfriend is Polish I always tell her Poland is Eastern Europe - I only say this because it really annoys her and I can tease her - It is Central Europe, politically though now it is Western Europe.

poland will always be considered eastern european by us northern and western europeans, Poland is culturally and politically closer to eastern europe than it is to central europe.

throught out european history poland has always been closer to eastern europe but thats not something that should be considered bad is it.

i think poland is central european cuz its closer to czech and germany than to eastern european countries (as balkans.)

what are you talking about, poland is in direct physical contact with lithuania, belarus, ukraine, and slovakia is to polands south and czech republic is to its right.

Not true, Poland has always been a mix of Western and Eastern cultures.

No. The languages have links, that's true, even if Lithuanian is a Baltic language...but I don't think we can assimilate one to another. So Irish people are the same than Austrian people ??...

Considering your nickname, noimmigration, i understand your view. But Poland is a Central European country, and i don't care if it pleases you or not.

Peace. ;) LoL
