LOL this is hilarious I'm part Polish and part Scottish and my dad always said that mixing those two causes a deadly combination. They have both been through similar things (Germans want to take over Poland and English want to take over Scots). Its weird how they are alike though, the smug air I have about me comes from the Scottish in me, but many confuse it with an Eastern European personality.

It would seem that the last of the Stuarts is from the Polish side.

baronage.co.uk/2003b/Pininski.pdf

It happened that a young Polish refugee who had no idea that he was the senior male descendant of the last of the Stuarts, chose for his bride a Scottish girl who by strict female descent was the offspring of the archJacobite Camerons of Lochiel.

To make sure of it there is DNA test available!

Allison, smug air? Some Scots show that and some don't but I don't see it as being a Scottish trait. The same with Poles. Some show it and some don't.

Stuarts? Not Stewarts? ;)

Stuarts? Not Stewarts? ;)

Either,or

The House of Stuart, also known as the House of Stewart, is an important European royal house.

Isn't this a superior tune played on the pipes?

I believe they were going to try to put a plaque to AC in the cathedral too (there was one there before the war), any idea if they have done so, yet?

Did not do the museum,it was on a sunday. I was in Saint Johns today, but I did not look for any plaque. Next time I go I will ask the priest and let you know.

Neil Oliver Yeah, he is a good presenter. Niall Ferguson on the other hand is a revisionist prick.

the smug air I have about me comes from the Scottish in me,

One of the strangest inaccurate national stereotypes I've yet heard.

Oh, I don't know. Put a Scot and an Englander in a room and the Scot will feel soooo smug that they aren't English.

Which tells me that she isn't really from there or lives in a closed circle of smug gits and doesn't venture outwith that.

Many Poles and Scots tend to be rugged, if anything
