Does anybody else think that Poland’s army should change the colour of its uniform?

Does anybody else think that Poland’s army should change the colour of its official uniform from a non descriptive ugly brown, to a Dark green colour?

Hague1cmaeron: don't forget that there are uniforms for different occasions. Which do you mean? Their combat uniform or their number-two dress?

Not combat, the one they use for official occasions. As an example http://www.wp.mil.pl/pl/galeria/3951 The uniform in this clip is far more preferable. I think that today they are trying to do them on the cheap, and they look horrible!

Well ... have a look what I look like when I have to go to the Staff in The Hague and make up your own mind (http://www.defensie.nl/landmacht/cultureel/uniformen/dagelijks_tenue/ ). When I am on the base (and I don't expect any visitors), I prefer walking around in battle dress, which is much more comfortable and practical (http://www.defensie.nl/landmacht/cultureel/uniformen/gevechtstenue/).

To be honest: the colour of the everyday uniform is not THAT important. The main thing is the material of which it is made and whether it is comfortable. The Dutch Army has made huge improvements over the years in this field, contrary to our Navy and Air Force. Especially the Navy-guys complain about the comfort of their everyday uniform.

Yes practicality should always take precedence, but you should be able to merge comfort with visual appeal-and I like the official uniforms you have posted, though can't make out the colour-it looks a bit like very dark grey.

Each British regiment is usually distinguished in the type of official uniform it wears. Overall i think they have the most appealing type of uniform.

It's a kind of a mix of grey, green and brown, yes.

My input is this...it(uniform) is very distinct(color). I think it matches the foresty country, but heythats just me. Are there any Americans near Siedlce- Ive been here for 3yrs and still havent met one(tsk tsk) Detroit anyone?

More than that.

There's "working dress" (like fatigues; Olive green pullover, shirt, trousers. "Barrack Dress" Green trousers and light tan shirt, pullover, "Combat" (camouflage), number 2 (khaki ceremonial), No. 1 (ceremonial, usually dark blue, almost black) and Mess dress (usually dark blue with light coloured lapels). And perhaps more if they are from a specific regiment.

At least, that's how it was a few years ago when i worked in an officers' mess.

I do work in polish military police (but im a civilian worker) and field uniforms are actually dark green moro. Ahhh moro = camoulfage mix of colors (you now what i mean :) )

I was thinking about the summer battle uniform, maybe a new digital look like the American Army has, but with shades of green like the Canadians have...
