If anyone has an interest in the battle of Arnhem and the polish Paratroopers who fought there under General Sosabowski, let me know as I have copies of the Memorial ceremony paper in Polish.

The Poles talking at Market Garden about the Battle at Arnhem

Talking to a Dutch friend, the subject of the Battle at Arnhem came up. Although he was just a kid at that time, he still remembers a lot from what his Father told him.
My question to him was if he ever hear about any discord between the Poles and the British. Below is his reply to me.

Krawczyk: Yes, I have heard of that. The British command has treated the Polish forces who were the biggest group of continental Europe on the Western front badly. The Poles were prohibited to participate in the victory parade in London after the defeat of Germany.
The British and Dutch authorities treated the Polish veterans bad...

We've had this so many times already that it's stale. Instead of posting the same thing why not use the search function.

The Poles were not 'prohibited' from attending any victory parade. In fact they were one of the very few foreign nationalities who were invited.

:-(

Veterans seem to view it in the different light!

Because their government forbade them from attending. Check out some of the other threads you've posted on concerning this.

There's one thread about it already, something about "Heroic drop of Polish parashooters" look for it, no need for another "same" thread..

Perhaps the threads should be merged.
