very interesting documentary made by the good arte French/German TV channel
I have divided it into three parts of ~700mb .rar files, and it is available for download thanks to megaupload.
Maybe if someone likes this they can upload it onto a different service as i remember megaupload is biased towards users of Polish ISPs.

I'd maybe access Martin Gilbert's archives too. Churchill was a bumptious git but the betrayal issue isn't as clear cut as some may think.

c.f., for example, Operation Unthinkable and Churchill's proposed message to Uncle Joe with regard to the Warsaw Uprising.

He was ambiguous over Poland. He told the then PM (can't remember the name) of Poland that his people were nothing but a bunch of self-seeking fools. Later on, he cried over the fate of Poland and engaged in an act of solidarity with his Polish counterpart. Hard to see a clear position.

He played the political game and Poland, unfortunately, wasn't much more than a pawn.
