Aerial photographs of European cities during World War II have been made available on Google Earth, giving internet users a real glimpse of the smashed-up landscape of war. time means: What's the (almost) square building in the pic? The red roofed building is the Royal Castle. The white square bottom-right is Mariensztat Square.

Yes, this is Royal Castle. Here's the most known building in post-war Warsaw - PKWiN and how it looks like. 1st shoot - 1935 2nd shoot - 1945 3rd shoot - 2008 Click to zoom in.
