nobody should deny Jedwabne. it happened, what is more there were some other pogroms during wwii with the victim toll hitting couple of thousands. at the same time it's estimated that over 50000 Poles died during wwII trying to hide Jews (Poland was the only occupied country that the punishment for hiding a Jew was an extermination of the whole family and all the people living in the same estate) and if you check righteous among the nations statistics you'll find Poles at the first position regardless of the risk I mentioned above. It also won't hurt you if you read about Jan Karski (wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Karski) or Witold Pilecki (wikipedia.org/wiki/Witold_Pilecki) and how their efforts were snubbed by The English and Americans. so if any of you tend to concentrate only on the antisemitic incidents that took place just before and during wwII in Poland and take it out context (3 millions -the population of Jews that chose to live in pre-war Poland, brutal occupation, 6 millions deaths (3 native Poles among), 40% of national assets stolen or destroyed, the fact that Polish Government never ever try to cooperate with Nazis at any level , number of pogroms of Jews in the Russia in the 30ties etc...) I dare to call you poor misguided anti-polish instigator. sorry :)

@harry -so there was jedwabne (1941) and there was kielce (1948) but contrary to what you said none of those pogroms took place in independent Poland. the first one of course during nazi occupation (and btw was totally incited by germans) the later one during harsh stalinism organized by the "Puppet Communist Government" and instigated by Soviet-backed communist security forces (so indirectly caused by criminals like Roosevelt and Churchill who sold Poland to Bolsheviks in 45).
