Hitler had Parkinson's - had to accelerate his war plans

In 1937 Hitler envisaged war in the mid 1940s.

Obviously the Munich triumph emboldened him, but to what extent did his Parkinson's lead him to accelerate his plans? He had to act fast before he became eligible for his own euthanasia programme!

Ever notice him giving a Nazi salute? I mean look really closely? The left hand clutches his belt ... to stop it shaking. Where were Hitler's wartime speeches? Didn't happen.

His half-Jewish doctor (Morrell) diagnosed Parkinson's and gave him the standard treatment for it for the day, as well as amphetamines and vitamins. Speed badly affected his judgement, but gave him the energy he craved.

Perhaps he was high on the day he stupidly declared war on a United States that wanted to fight Japan only.

High Hitler!

It was tough finding a decent link - this shows an amazing lack of interest in the subject.

http://www.rcpe.ac.uk/journal/issue/journal_35_1/Hitler's_medical_care .pdf

Most hits on Hitler's health concern testicles and hormone injections - a reflection on modern society.

If only he'd survived - New Labour in the UK would make him apologize and he'd have to do 150 hours of community work.

Nice try, Bratwurtski.

I read this article not long ago. I don't remember where.

"Strychnine for Hitler? "Hitler's digestion problems," writes Christoph Gunkel in Der Spiegel, "even prompted him to become a vegetarian: contrary to what the Nazi propaganda machine would have one believe, it wasn't because Germany's dictator was an animal lover. Likewise, he took such massive amounts of a drug to combat flatulence that some of his other physicians even speculated that he was being poisoned. The drug contained small amounts of the nerve agent strychnine, which had long been used as a rat poison."

We all are. But to get elected by less sick people makes him quite sane ;)

Hitler was sick in more than one way and drug addict, Stalin was sick but and paranoid not a drug addict, napoleon was sick not a drug addict
the difference is the Stalin and Napoleon did not leave everything in disaster as Hitler destroy himself and everyone around him.

No? Stalin is remembered as being kind and gentle...and sane. Never destroyed anyone's life as far as I can remember...at least, I think that was the story in the early 50's

Everyone knows what Hitler did. Stalin's evil never gets talked about. He Killed more of his own people then anyone thinks about. No one even knows how many people actually died.

no one knows what Stalin did, some people know but majority do not give **** as holocaust word only applies to Jews and what Hitler did to them.
propaganda is powerful tool in rewriting history.
