And Poles playing Jews!

I must say that those German soldiers are pathetic - it is visible the boys feel uncomfortable in their uniforms. Their Polish patriotic nature can`t accept such dishonour. :):):)

On the other hand, those girls look really Jewish.

Watch a film - an interview with a Jewish survivor of Będzin ghetto

Poles playing german soldiers??? Oh weh! :(

Don't worry: a year or two from now they will change sides and claim that they were forced to join the German armed forces.

The choice of the town of Będzin for an re-enactment isn`t accidental.
The Będzin ghetto was the biggest in East Silesia region.

Read about it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C4%99dzin_Ghetto

There was even an uprising:

A local chapter of the Jewish Combat Organization (ŻOB) was created in Będzin around 1941.[4] During the final major deportation push in August 1943, the ŻOB in Będzin and Sosnowiec staged an uprising against the Germans.[4] The uprising, a final act of defiance of the local population, was unsuccessful; most of the Jewish fighters perished fighting the overwhelming German forces.

Glory to Jewish fighters and those who died in gas chambers. Your fate won`t be forgotten.

Commemoration
There are several diaries from survivors and hundreds of written correspondences made to relations from those in the ghetto at the time. In 2004, Będzin City Council decided to dedicate the city square to the heroes of the Jewish ghetto uprising in Będzin.[5]
Photos of many of the ghetto's deportees to Auschwitz were preserved. A collection of over 2,000 photographs was discovered in October, 1986, including many images of life in Będzin and the ghetto. Some of them have been published in a book[6] or in a video.[7] The Eyes from the Ashes Foundation administers the collection.
