The Poles are certainly Central European and are not really the same race as the Russians at all. The Russians are tougher

Lie expectancy: (females/males/avg)
Poland 75.6/71.3/79.8
Russia 65.5/59.0/72.6

Russians came from Mongolia and probably therefore have more in common with the Turks

You need to brush up your IndoEuropean history.
Russians did not come from Mongolia. Mongols came from Mongolia and Ruled Russians for 300 year.

That is why in 1945, Europe was saved by the Russians, almost single handedly.

Saved? Millions in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Estonia, Germany, Czechoslovakia etc, did not feel saved at all. As a matter of fact, in some of those countrie WW2 ended in 1989.

If you mean defeating Gerries then no doubt Soviet Union did much more than western allies

Hmm...didn't help the Poles a lot anyway...more cowards than saviours for Poland, but i must say they helped in the final victory (after having helped Germany...)...

Are you sure about the averages ? How the average life expectancy can be higher than those of men and women...?

Life expectancy has been falling in Poland for many years now and has nothing to do with World War 2 anyway.

No, it is a well known fact that life expectancy is falling in Poland and other parts of eastern Europe. One reason why I do not want my children to live there.

Definately Eastern Europeans. One just has to live in West and East to figure that one out! Anyway, central is a kind of Austro-Hungarian outdated syndrome.

Poland, being Slavic is part of true, authentic, original West

currently so called West is in fact false west, because natives there were uterly defeated in time before BC and later by hostile newcomers and, forced to abonden their Western/White heritage.

Just that Poland improve standard of living and all would recognize truth

Go Poland!

Don't forget about the massive U.S. aid that the USSR received from the U.S....

U.S. Sherman Tanks given to Russia (there were a huge number of trucks also donated)

So let's say that the Western part of Poland is in Central Europe...but for me, the whole country is Central European.

Having visited Poland a number of times, I noticed that some Polish did not like the term "Eastern Europe" to include Poland. Now I dont use this term any more. I just talk about Poland or Europe. The same way as I would not refer to other countries in Europe based on their geographical location. Poland is going to be a central country in the new Europe. Watch out North, South, East and West!

I suppose that Poland, being in the middle, so to speak, can afford the 'hedge its bets' and knowing that the West is richer and is more able to help Poland economically, it is wiser to say 'we are part of the West' rather than siding with poorer Russia.

Russia being unable to steal from Poland is a step in the right direction in the first place.

Yes. I hope you don't have a problem with that, as I'm sure you didn't have a problem with Russia accepting $979 million in from US in 2001, and $200 million from EU in 2000.

(how does that pot and kettle proverb go?)

Yes, I have worked very hard at it until I got my Equity card. It is illegal to copy my words and phrases as they are controlled by strict copyright. My writings are a skill which takes many years to perfect and this should not be tried at home without supervision.

Russia has still got half of 'Old Poland' and that should suffice unless of course, Poland wants to buy it back!
