TIT:
you dont know and never knew what democracy is, and your fcuking goverment

That kind of childish crap is pretty much irritating. You're saying as if you know what it is. :) Democracy is just a word, like the "bird". :) Everyone will always mean some different things with that.

TIT:
There is something wrong with Russia now, plenty of ordinary people drives rusty ladas and some of high rank drive high-end cars.

That's true but it's different story. And again you learn about life in Russia only from democratic (in your understanding) western media which means your insight of Russian internal processes is close to none.
Your comment was totally out of place since it implied nothing but to bully/offend a Russian woman from a little town of Ryazan. Very manly of yours.

from Russia:
We couldn't wear dresses with elegant and charm like polish women.

Polskie kobiety must have been the epitome of fashion in eastern block.A czech woman told me the same that all fashion to CR came from Poland.

from Russia:
that now Russia live very often better than Poland. And not just thiefs, but normal businesspeople

This is irritating for a Pole to hear.
Generally polish did not seem to me to hate Russians just dislike some of their ways.

right, Sasha I didnt intend to offend anyone, and your view of democracy is a bit different than our one
about cars in Russia, just look at your police cars - ladas and moskvihes for ordinary police and Putin likes drives the most expensive cars
Polish police drives kias or vw's, some for speeding are a bit faster cars but we have fair cars for fair police men

from Russia:
But you fogot that now Russia live very often better than Poland. And not just thiefs, but normal businesspeople, Russia has so many new cars (although yes, there are a lot of old cars too).

You're delusional. Is this why Russian men drink themselves to death and die at 59? Russians are also attracted to Polands stronger economy and standard of living. Poland is better any day of the week.

I am Russian and Ive been in Krakow in 2006 (visited my Polish friend 2 times), and can compare. Honestly, did not see too much difference in lifestyle compare to my city in Russia where I am from, so did not find that lifestyle was higher. I saw middle class, that my friend belongs. I met people who hardly meet financial ends despite work. Of course, there are rich people as anywhere else. I found everything very expensive compare to levels of income. However, I am from very big city in Russia where generally life is much easier, so I cannot say about other places in Russia (like small towns) as well as in Poland. Also, I want to mention that I never ever have been insulted due to my Russian language, reverse, everyone helped me and I saw only friendly attitude. I can speak English but I had to sue it in very few occasions. All 2 months I was there, I had feeling that I am in my city..same architecture (I dont want to say that Krakow doesnt have its own distinct places), same food, and same people...It was a real surprise for me, but I never felt like I was abroad. May be Poles and Russian should forget stupid stereotypes and cliche about each other and understand that reality and people are totally different. I usually never participate in forums, but this time just wanted to tell a few words. Wish everyone the best

I believe 'crocodilian love' is a word play on the expression, 'crocodile tears' - pl.n.
An insincere display of grief; false tears. Hopefully that is of some service. Sorry if this was already explained. Time for sleep.

Is it just me, or are Poles and Russians on the verge of some kind of breakthrough here?

In death, I truly believe, President Kaczynski and the other passengers achieved something remarkable. Truly martyrs for a brighter future.

A martyr gives himself up willingly, Filios. You achieve sth when you set out goals and objectives for yourself and others. Killing others by making a bad call inside an airplane is not the best way to go about it. It's hardly an achievement! Dialogue and gestures are very much the way.

It could just as easily have gone the other way, that Poles got furious in buying into conspiracy theories. Old wounds take a long time to heal, if at all.

The Russians DID start WWII. They attacked Poland from the East at about the same time the Germans attacked from the West. Granted, Russian controlled education in Poland did its best to ignore that fact. How can you be aware of Katyn and not know the Russians were attacking Poland?

Huh??? The Japanese were the first aggressors in WW2,the Chinese the "First to fight".....
The Soviets attacked Poland seventeen days after the Germans,Katyn happened many months after the Soviet occupation had begun.
But,I concur with your view of Soviet versions of history,Ive a couple of Novosti Press publications on "The Great Patriotic war" and you'd think all was peace and light and a happy clappy fascist love in across Europe untill June 22nd 1941........

I guess I don't think of it as a "World War" until Europe got involved.

Yeah, I gotta say, Poland right now is in a much better shape than Russia. Russia got hit especially hard when the Soviet Union collapsed, now there is crime everywhere. There is also this new breed of people called "Noviye Rosskiye" which is basically gangsters driving German cars and ignoring all rules. Poland is a lot better off now, the government is less corrupt, and the standard of living is higher

You're behind some twenty years. The breed you mentioned remained in the 90th.
And it doesn't answer the question of the topic.

I met some people from Russia in my live, every time I could say - they are amazing. This taught me to separate "people" from "nations" seen mostly as government a history. Polish and Russian history is not easy, that is true, but we are so similar, our cultures are so close to each other, that we have to find common subject and like each other as people.
Another thing is what is my opinion about current Russia rulers, I don't like Putin, but as long as he is elected in free election I have to accept it, I would start to worry when democracy stops to work in Russia, but now cannot see this happening. I think this is a big problem of western countries that they cannot understand, how people may trust somebody like Putin, but why they are not worrying about Italy with Berlusconi or weren't worrying about United States when G.W. Bush was a president? I don't like both of them.
So to answer to the question in subject - I hope that Russians loves Poles as much as I love Russians :)
