Was there sex in Poland during communist regime?

As many of you, probably, know, republics of Soviet Union had no sex whatsoever as testified by Russian woman Liudmila Ivanova in the late 80s when asked on TV program "US-Soviet Space Bridge" by an American about Soviet sex life. How was it in Poland which wasn't part of the damned Union, but still lived under communism for almost 50 years? Did you have sex?

My Russian lady tells me that there was some sex going on in the Soviet union...but you needed the correct documents of course...and you were not supposed to enjoy it...

Exactly. When a neighbor heard your wife moaning across the thin walls they used to build, he would definitely rat you out. The sentence for enjoying sex were harsh and you could be imprisoned for:
a.) undermining Soviet morals by practicing burgeois decadent perversions;
b.) expressing your weakness by sighs and moans instead of a tawarishch-like worker's assertive "yes, my comrade (to the husband), go on, we have to finish the plan not in 5 minutes, but 3";)
c.) you could enjoy in sex only the point when you think that it will eventually lead to producing more homos sovieticus for the SU to manage to plant the apple-trees on Mars
(Soviets wanted to plant there trees, though people were standing in lines to buy a chunk of bread).

no sex... i was brought to my parents by a stork...
and even though my brother was born right after the communism, he was found on the cabbage field...

but seriously, i think people has sex back then... but quietly so neighbors wouldn't hear...
(and the rest of the family sleeping in the same apartment...)

But that stork had to have sex then, no?;) I think in the Soviet Union even storks had no sex. This is, probably, the reason they leave for the winter to finally endulge in carnal pleasures somewhere where it is permitted - capitalistic world.

Little known fact: behind the Iron Curtain it was a hot, non-stop fuckfest; it just didn't make it beyond the Soviet Censors. Why do you think there was an Iron Curtain to begin with (they had some modesty towards Western Europe)? Why do you think the Soviet system fell? Was it because that there were inherent flaws to the communist way? Was it because their economy was stagnating? Was it because the US was rapidly expanding their military and the Soviets just couldn't expand theirs any more? No. It was because everyone was getting busy with everyone else and no one had any time to actually produce anything or run the country.

True story.

But to be seriouse whenever I watch polish movies from that period there's always full of naked women and their tits... ;D

Oh, and I found the old book of my parents by dr Lew Starowicz (nice pictures...;)

Of course they didn't have sex. All Polish "persons" born 1946-1990 are communist robots. On the left buttock you will find a tattoo "Tysiąclecie Państwa Polskiego" and a batch-number. They were produced by the same company that made Polonez.

Or was there no prostitution in Poland, like there is absolutely no prostitution in Ireland since they closed or burned down that area, forget it's name, but Joyce writes about it, close to Talbot Street in Dublin?

You could only f*** a communist or comsomol member, otherwise it was labeled as prostitution. If you finally decided to have babies, you have to do it quickly, joylessly and preferably at first time - no double tries - suspicion of burgeois enjoyment of your body. If you had babies every 9 months, it meant you are a good communist-towarishch, because you supply the state with brain-wash material as you said and do it as efficiently as possible; no waste of work-intended energy.

So, can we say that Poland brought, besides Solidarnosc movement, also Sexual revolution into Warsaw pact countries and this way chased out all storks and destroyed cabbage fields where homo sovetici used to grow? Then, was sex the determining factor of the Berlin's wall fall? Or perhaps no one was having sex under communism because everyone was so collectively miserable? We all know how women have to be just in the proper mood, and being hungry and oppressed can't help that mood...
