I am new to this forum and wanted to see what it's all about. I'm trying to learn Polish, I'm on lesson 2 and I'm not too bad. I was wondering if anyone knows of any Polish Valentine's traditions...and what does, "yours disgustedly, Warsaw." mean? Does one really want to see that on a Valentine card?

~Thanks

I'm learning Polish from a book a friend bought for me when he went back home to POland just recently. He bought me a book with a cd, but conversations go very fast. It's difficult to learn but I'm doing ok.
I can speak 'baby Polish'.

You know, listening to polish is one thing, reading and writing another!

I listen to 'teach yourself polish' and its grand for pronouciation and basic polish BUT image when i looked at the little booklet - i couldnt recognise half the words!!!!

paczki!!! i imagined (anglisizing it) poncski, and its not the first word in polish ive done that too!
I need to get more help with my written polish! and the grammer, he, she, we ending etc etc

I know the do zobaczenia, but why did he add 'pa' to the end? What does that mean?

Pa is a gentler, sweeter 'bye'. Most of the time repeated: Pa. Pa.

Would 'Do zobaczenia,pa' be like saying bye to a baby, or a sweetie?
