"I hope I haven’t made you feel awkward"

I thank the translator who can help me with this. I appreciate your time and generosity.

I fear my broken-Polish in previous letters has not been clear and contributed to a communication breakdown which is why i hope someone can help me out.
Thank you so much. englishgirl.

Dear XXX,
I know I wrote to you before, but I haven't heard back from you. So I'm writing one more time. I hope that's OK.

I think I may have assumed incorrectly when I understood that you could speak both English and Polish fluently. I understood that you knew both languages equally well, which is why I wrote to you the last time in English, the language I am most comfortable in.

I hope I haven’t made you feel awkward, angry or too shy to write back now. Perhaps you are still in the process of learning English and do not feel skilled enough to write back in this language.

Believe me - I feel exactly the same way about Polish. (I am very fortunate to have people who help me translate when I am become overwhelmed with the language.)

I just want to make sure you don't think I was making fun of you when I said I thought English is much easier to learn than Polish. Of course, I only say that as an English speaker who struggles with Polish!

I do hope to hear from you again – maybe you could tell me if you are familiar with my grandmother or at least have heard of her. You can write in Polish or English - and please don't worry if you decide to write in English and it's not perfect. I couldn't care less!

Check out my site – maybe you will know someone. I wish you good luck with everything.
Warm wishes,
"englishgirl"

Drogi XXX,

Hi - Thanks so much Wyspianska.
I'm not sure if my computer is showing things correctly. I see translation for everything up to and including: ("I am very fortunate to have people who help me translate when I am become overwhelmed with the language.")

I don't want to presume anything or seem ungrateful or impatient, but shall I try to get the second half done by someone else or is it my computer screen that is acting up and not showing all translated text or....? I just don't want to mess it up with this person...

Thanks so much again. I really do appreciate the help :) englishgirl
good avatar by the way!

Życzę powodzenia we wszystkim.

Pozdrawiam ciepło,
