Hot tea in Poland; where can I find it?

My husband was in poland for a month and he said everytime they ate they were served hot tea. It was the same type of tea served. He loved it and wants me to see if I can find out what kind of tea it was...soooo anybody know what kind of hot tea is served most commonly in Poland? Thanks...

Mayby it was Tetley, Lipton or Dilmah... I think there are the most popular kinds of tea

Normal tea, from normal shops. The most common tea that people drink here is Liptons, funny that eh!! Seems that there was a lot of advertising in the past and it has stuck. As to “hot tea” I have no idea at all unless anyone else can shed some light on it "confused"!!!!

When I lived in Poland we drank a lot earl gray (herbata zapachowa) with sugar and milk (bawarka).

I looooooooooove tea :-) In Poland there are many tea houses to try some really amazing teas!! :-) wherever your location is, i don't know where to suggest I dont know where you are but ask locals in your area for the places of the tea house :-)

The only tea I've ever drunk in Poland is herbata z cytryną (lemon tea), which I only make with fresh tea and lemon juice, but in Poland it can be bought as lemon-flavoured tea bags.

I've no idea who makes the tea, but it definitely seems to be all about Liptons in Poland innit haha :)

:) we have something called Yorkshire Tea in the UK. Yeah right... Yorkshire Tea my a**e. They will be selling "Yorkshire Rice" next. Bloody Northern monkeys. ;)

is tea used for anything? like are polish people supersticious about something so they drink it? just curious cause my great grandmother useto make me drink it when i was a kid LOL

I've never heard anything like that......just same as everywhere, tea and coffee as a beverage......tea has usually been cheaper.

Lemon tea was always popular in our house when i was little :)

Hmm intresting thread I didnt realize the tea that we have here is that special or different;)

Loaded with yummy vitamin C. We usually go out and pick the raspberries ourselves to make juice for the winter and jelly, but this year we missed it :-(.

maybe the reason polish tea tastes different is because in Poland ppl usually make tea essence in a little teapot , as oppose to just using tea bag. You brew the essence first and add some to a cup about 1/4, then fill up the cup with the boiling water.

Can also be down to the water as well........where i live atm the water is a bit hard, lol.......so hot drinks don't taste as nice as where the water is a bit softer......

Same with Guinness ! Tastes a bit different depending where it's made up as they use the local water...

I was in Poland 3 yrs ago and we had tea , just regular tea , but what i came home with and continued was regular tea with fruit in it, it was awesome, i am not sure what town you are in but most Polish shops will have diferent Polish teas, flavored.
