Big bathroom with a shower and bath. There is a fridge, washmashine and dishwasher. To let from April. 3000 PLN - all costs.

WOW 3000pln, just see what you could rent in England for that!

Something on the lines of a 3 bedroomed semi-detached with 2 gardens, a garage and in a beautiful region of Lancashire.

What £600? Ive been looking recently and i cant find anything comparable for less than £750, but thats South coast. 3000 PLN 80 m2 near the city centre, with all bills inclusive sounds reasonable to be honest. Furniture would make it more attractive but im sure that could be arranged for a long lease contract. In any case 3000 PLN is asking price negotiations would probably settle for about 2,600.

Sorry to keep crossing you subaru but you obviously dont know what youre talking about.

Could you rent something in the centre of a major British city for that? No? Surprise.

if you really want to get accurate its £608, where did you get £665 from? best to round up in volatile FX markets in which case £600 not £650. Ive been monitoring the FX rate all day and at no time did it get anywhere near even £620.

Dude no i am not, if you like i'll list your posts and prove how wild they are, no assumptions here my friend.

Like Poles inflating the price of fillet steak for foreigners as locals cant afford it, you said that - a few hours ago.

Read it and weep!

Wroclaw Boy you may as well start a new thread called - Apologies to Subaru mad,
and all the other people who left comments without removing their head from their anus.

All I was saying is, property in Wroclaw is so f'ing steep, its vertical, and it makes no sense.
I've always wanted to buy property here, but it makes more sense to buy a house in England and rent it out.

Wroclaw Boy:
Dude no i am not

and yes you definately are!

And as to your reference to my comment about something you said previously...I misunderstood you. I'm probably not the only one who has ever misunderstood you!

700zl a month

subaru mad:
For 1,000zl I would expect my OWN 2 bedroomed flat, with a little garden, AND my own parking space.

You could get a flat share or maybe a small flat for 1000 per month in Wroclaw. Your expectations are far too high.

My expectations are too high?
I don't think so.
Maybe I was just a bit happier with the prices of things in 2005, and didn't expect prices to double in such a short space of time.

I just think Wroclaw as a City needs to stop thinking its Warszaw, it will never be as good as Warszaw, so it needs to be more down to earth with its prices.

So was I in Krakow, unfortunately a lot of Rich Poles now have the cash to burn and prices have been forced up.

Lots of well paying jobs, prices are still lower than in Warsaw, unemployment is lower than in Warsaw. What are you complaining about again?

women complain....men observe.
I was having an observation thats all.

convex:
Lots of well paying jobs

but not for teachers, as the market is saturated, and anyone who can string a sentence together automatically becomes a teacher.

I will disagree 100% on this!
Everytime I drive to work at 3pm I see lots of cars, naprawde.
I mean...too many! Sometimes when I'm in traffic (always) I will wind my window down and shout at them, and ask them...why they aren't at work, why are they driving for no reason and getting in my way?!?!
From 9am-5.30pm I only expect to see minimum traffic.

I sent a letter to Donald Tusk a few weeks ago asking him to enforce longer working hours , to ease this congestion. I'm still waiting for his response.

So to conclude my opinion...Too much traffic, low wages, and Wroclaw not being as nice as Warszaw, that should make the property rental prices more realistic.

Rochdale's not even a city, it's just a chavvy town 10 miles from Manchester! :)

This is a much better area; much less crime, few "undesirables" ;) and a fair bit closer to Manchester city centre as well. Only 5 minutes walk to the tram, too.

http://www.homesonview.co.uk/Scripts/FullDetails.aspx?CID=THGRSALE&AID =THGRSALE&PID=TSP01844

59 square metres and outside space as well. A snip at 2723 PLN/month! Why move to Poland when you can earn 3-4x the rent here. lol :)

Teaching isn't exactly a good job. Wroclaw is heavy on IT and accounting, and the local salaries are decent.

It depends on what you're looking for. I like the fact that this place clears out in the summer when all the students leave. It's also nice to see everywhere else with decent crowds for the rest of the year. Prague, Berlin, and Dresden are fairly close. The city is very friendly to foreign investment.

Am I leaving soon? Absolutely. Do I regret spending time here, not at all.

Read it and weep!

Read it and so what, you can rent a large villa with pool in barbadso for half that so what, i said South Coast, within a city ie Southampton, im talking built up area which doesnt cost £10 a day to commute. £10 a day = £200 per month has to be factored, right.

Indeed it does right now, within the current economic climate.

Los Angeles wants to be New york, Manchester wants to be London and now Wroclaw wants to be Warsaw, dude what kind of books have you been reading? Thats just redicilous.

I agree 100%

and SouthMancPolak - its a big house I'll grant you that.
BUT why live in a terraced house when you can have a nice modern semi?
I think the house I put on here is superb.
I would rather be in Rochdale than Manchester. Less chance of getting knifed on a night out

Well, if living in an exceptionally ugly shoebox with no room to swing a cat appeals...

Sale is a dump as well! 550 pounds a month for that is daylight robbery.

subaru mad:

Not very well educated in the ways of Poland, are you?

Quite a few of the people I teach work 7am-3pm.

Let's not forget that the Polish mentality is for the husband to work and the mother not to work - which can explain traffic. Then you have school runs and so on - all within a city that doesn't really have the greatest road system.

subaru mad:
and I think you could, easy. As nobody wants to live close to the city, I mean przestan! Who would want to live in the City? lol

Really? Why are people spending so much money in the UK (or were, at least) on converted inner city factory buildings, then? Why is Manhattan so expensive to live in? Why is it that some of the most expensive property in the world is located in the centre of cities? And more to the point - why is it that places like Rochdale are dirt cheap if "no-one wants to live in the city?".

Especially in Poland, where the infrastructure from outside cities into the centre is poorly developed/overloaded, living in the city proper is very desirable.

1. Because a lot of those new semis are actually the same size as an old terrace.
2. I don't like gardening - a yard does me fine!
3. Rochdale's a town full of "you-know-who", so you're welcome to it!
4. I prefer old houses. New houses get too warm in summer, and they've no character.
5. That's why I live in Trafford not Manchester LOL

No, £650 a month to live in Northern Moor or Wythenshawe is daylight robbery. As is 2000 PLN/month to live in a bedsit in Poland, tbh.

I don't know why anyone would pay that, unless it's a short term let - you can easily pick up a fully furnished bedsit in Poznan for 1000zl a month all inclusive in the centre.

(people are paying over 600 pounds a month to live in Wythenshawe? Jeez....I notice some horrible shitholes are starting to become gentrified though)

You know how it works... "convenient for the M60/Airport/tram/hospital", etc... then a gang of Poles put a few bunk beds in, and the rest is history. I've seen quite a few Cyfra+ dishes round there too, so you know who is making these prices rocket, as usual ;)

I wouldn't live in Fallowfield or Wythenshawe lol, but then I wouldn't live in "posh Didsbury" either.

Besides, for all its failings, at least Wythenshawe people treat me with respect and don't turn their noses up at me like the trendy M20 crowd do, lol :)
