Wedle nice to make contact, a few of the lads have asked me to make contact but first just a few questions please. Is the place covered for accidental and non accidental damage, a few of the boys had a few problems and incurred a bill of 18,000zl mainly to the neighbors house, last time in Poland, this they promised will not occur again, secondly a question about the maid, I assume she is for other than cleaning purposes? There is a group of 9 of us who love the night life and of course a beer or two ps we are from Manchester. cheers Alf

Thanks for responding Alred, the apartment is covered by Warta household insurance, the insurance advisor was informed that the place is used for short and long term lets, I can send you a copy of the insurance terms and condition ( in Polish of course). If you would prefer to take out an extra policy, I can arrange this at your cost of course. In respect of the adjacent apartments our insurance does not cover their damage, regarding the behavior of your colleagues, Warsaw is a very lively town and I an sure they will have fun, although I would add " beware the drunk tank". The maid is paid for household cleaning services, any other cleaning services we would request in writing 14 days in advance. The apartment is for 8, so 9 would be a squeeze unless of course two of you don't mind sleeping together, I've heard lots of boys from Manchester like that.

I await your decision.

Wendle thanks for the offer, I got your post mixed up with the other guy Cicika, sorry but your place is too small and expensive for what we are seeking, we don't want the police annoying us, the lads would demolish your place in no time, sorry, welcome to Manchester, homes are much cheaper to rent here.

Alfred, thank you for your response and I understand you are on a budget, Warsaw is not as cheap as many foreigners believe it to be it is what we call the "The Warsaw Paradox" As my granny taught me from a young age "cheap is not cheap" you can't expect to afford yourself a champagne lifestyle, when you only earn beer money, this is what has led the UK to its knees financially.

If you choose to adopt a thug mentality in Poland during Euro 2012, you will end up in problems either by the Police or the local thugs, who will be patrolling the streets, with that in mind it may be safer for you to be in an isolated-protected area. Good luck during your stay in Poland and I wish you success in your quest.

You obviously mean ul Slominskiego.

10 mins to the stadium, maybe 20 mins when the second metro line is finished. Today with all the roadworks it would take you at least 30-40 mins to get to the stadium. I metro stop to Rat Arsenal, then bus or tram from aleja "Solidarnośc to Praga.

For anyone interested the place is in a good location next to the metro, you can walk to the Stare Miastp in about 20-30 mins, it is also close to the area of the Warsaw ghetto. From the centrum/ Palace of Culture it is actually three stops. The buildings number 5 and 7 are fully securitized and have underground parking.

Check Pruszkow and Piastow on Google Maps before renting this one. And it isn't 15 minutes by car to the centre of Warsaw (never mind the stadium) ever. Treble that at least in the rush hour and factor in the Euro2012 crowds, parking etc.

It is 15-20 minutes by car to Warsaw in normal situation (to Central Station, by Al. Jerozolimskie street). But you are right - during Euro2012 it could take much more time, and this is why I recommend train - easy, cheap, with direct access to Stadium, without crowds, parking's problem etc. In my opinion it will take about 1 hour together (plus/minus 10 minutes): walk to Piastów station and then by train. Or option: by car to Piastow station (about 5 min by car) and then by train (SKM).

there is no way it takes 15 minutes.

Pruszkow/Piastow has a lot of traffic all the time. this is not a good rental option- it is way out of town -it would be expensive to take a taxi and neither of these towns are actually even nice- surely hanging out at a tesco is not what people would come to Poland for. Who wants to take a train to the outskirts of Warsaw? This is a really bad choice.

It is your opinion - my is totally different, but never mind... It is just proposition of accommodation...

By the way: if you will have a minute please check road infrastructure near Pruszkow/Piastów - especially S8 and "Poludniowa Obwodnica Warszawy"... Both will be ready for EURO2012...

yes, it is my opinion. and if somebody is paying a crap load of money to come to Poland and watch a few games- the last place they would want to be is in the centre of all the blokerzy. Unless of course people are interested in blocks and not football.

This sounds like a classic M*ania claim to me :D

In traffic, you would be lucky to get to Warszawa Centralna from CH Reduta, never mind from Piastów!

Actually Piastow isn't such a bad place. A bit boring, but trains to the centre of Warsaw, including at night. And 25 euro per night during Euro 2012 is quite a good price really. The obwodnica won't be ready for a long time, but that would be the long way round anyway.
