I'm leaving for a trip to Poland in 10 days, and I am staying for 6 weeks. I havent been to Poland since I was 3, so i don't really remember anything. And I was just wondering what places I should visit, to make this the best experience ever. So I'd really appreciate it if you all could give me some ideas. Thanks

What's the purpose of your trip (vacation, business)?

It's a graduation present from my parents, and I'll be staying with family. They all live on the eastern side.

In Poland people don't operate with "East/West/North/South" words; Poland is too small comared to the US. The Eeastern side is less urbanized than the West/Center of Poland. Do you mean Kielce, Rzeszow, or Bialystok area?

I have relatives in Bialystok. We visited the Białowieża forest. Very nice. Mikolajki was a quaint little area, lots of lakes and forest.

In the south, I liked Kazimierz Dolny (quaint), Krakow (beautiful city) and salt mines at Wieliczka.

Congratulations on your graduation! and enjoy your trip. Be sure to post some photos in the appropriate thread upon your return!

so if you start from Bialystok you must see Mikołajki than Kazimierz Dolny Krakow Wieliczka and Zakopane from Zakopane go to see Gdansk/Sopot and i think Czestochowa is worth to see

closer to Białystok is Swieta Lipka mitrecule place nice lake and sanctuary
