Ideas for some day trips in Zielona Gora

Hello hoping to get some ideas for some day trips... I will be in Poland in Spring, Wroclaw & a few small towns, Boleslawiec & Tomasov. What town would be nearby to these towns that I could drive to in a day, just to look around a bit? Zeilona Gora? And how far is Karpacz? I think this is a ski town in Poland? Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks.

I was in Zielona Gora, Jelenia Gora, and Karpacz - these are beautiful places. It may be still chilly there as these are mountainous areas, but again - very pretty and romantic. You can surely have a great ski time in Karpacz during the winter or early spring.

Actually I will be in Europe the first 2 weeks of May. I just made my reservations last night!!! Wondering, what do ya'll think of Karpacz for a day trip? Isn't this a mountain ski area? and I've heard there are some nice churches in Jelenia Gora (actually I have lots of church pics from my other visits in Poland!)
