Where in the US/UK live most Poles?

I remmebr when I was in Chicago few years ago - they said that there were abouty 1 million polish living there- it is like all Krakow!!!!!

Where I live there are many poles, I can pick up on their accents walking down the street. We even have a bar with a pole in it - girls dance around it naked on some nights of the week

I think the Uk has more likely up to 1 to 2 million Poles residing here. Apparently its the biggest single immigrant influx since the Huegnauts...

Michigan has a lot of enclaves. Hamtramck (although lately a lot of Yemeneese people have been moving in, not sure why), Posen (named after Poznan), and some other little cities in northern Michigan. There are a lot of Finnish people up there, again I don't know why.

There are still some Poles in Poland too.

u know the weird thing is they seem to all be moving to mid america strange cuz one in my opinon the mid west sucks and also the job market in those areas is not the best but i think there are a lot of poles where im at (seattle washington) they're just harder to find because there is such a diversity of other nationals out here

They have been out mid west for some time, I just dont think you have central
area like some states do.

Michigan, New York, Chicago, ohio, alot of Northern states have areas that
people settled long time ago, and still to this day are considered more
Polish then any other nationality. And probably because these areas have
alot of Culture within them , that is more of a center point for Polish Immigrants
now, who want to come.

as for moving out west, the job market is probably better, I know our state
is struggling, so I am sure there is better and the warmer climates is appealing
to, plus midwest has alot of country that represents Polands. <~could be?
Mountains? beautiful lakes? forests? We have all that too, just not as much
as Poland.

Why do they move to those dreary places? If you're going to move, move to a place where you only get 3 weeks of winter per year... Florida or California

Yes, but I can surf year round, snowboard, go to the desert, mountains, river or bay to boat, Mexico(daddy daughter) , or just hang out by the pool... swim April to November

I can vouch on behalf of Manchester, UK, that there was a HOOJ influx of Polish since Poland became part of the EU a few years back (I work in city centre) and a lot of building sites started having health and safety signs in Polish (I work as an architectural technician and do a lot of site visits).

I found this amusing - Polish bar staff, working in England, in an Australian bar....

Dont know the exact number of Poles in Mankland though!
