indian girl in love with my polish BF

Hi everyone,

I strongly believe that as individuals we cant help who we fall in love with. Hopefully our parents raised us well enough to figure out that the color and race of our skin is just the outside. My story is that I'm an indian girl who's been dating my polish BF for over 4 years. We've had our difficulties with our parents, but they've realized that what the heart wants, it gets. Since i was born in India, that its the only indian thing about me. Im completely "americanized" and so is he. I've actually began taking polish-speaking classes so that i can communicate with his family fluently. We both try different things all the time. I love cooking Polish food and he loves eating indian food. Though technically we are from different backgrounds, we are soo alike. I love him so much and when you have love, everything else just falls into place IF you let it and become open-minded.

I totally agree. Me and my gf are from different backgrounds too, though I am not 'totally americanized', she quite indianized. We complement each other.
