I think the "Neostrada" is one of the most popular internet service providers in Poland (they are fast too from what I've heard). They are a part of the TP (Telekomunikacja Polska).

Check

tp.pl

or

tp.pl/prt/pl/klienci_ind/internet/internet_w_domu/neostrada_tp/

Sorry, got confused.

Go with Neostrada. That's what I'm actually using now. They offer different packages, so choose carefully.

neostrada.pl - ADSL by TP. Most reliable, available everywhere. But extremely expensive and with can be with download limits.
netia.pl - ADSL by a big company. Seems reliable, prices are not cheap but still fair, but once again limited availability.
chello.pl - cable by UPC. Should be reliable, good prices, no download limits. However limited availability again.
airbites.net.pl - EXTREMELY LONG WAIT FOR SERVICE (people have waited a few months to get a connection!!) and also extremely unreliable. it is mentioned here so you will KNOW TO AVOID THEM.
tele2.pl, ghnet.pl, aster.pl - some other cable companies. Good deals but limited availability again.
vectra.pl - ?
Dialup: TP or Onet, no sign up - just dial a number and use. High rates per minute.

vectra.pl - cable company, very limited (just a few cities), not bad prices especially if You want to have their TV and phone (30 USD for 512 kbps ADSL, average cable tv including Disocvery Channel in Polish and a few english channels + free phone, not mobile of course - 43 USD after 9 months).

My advice - go for Chello, if not available then You can always use Neostrada by Telekomunikacja Polska (TP S.A.).

I don't think the price of Neostrada is "extremely expensive", and THERE ARE NO DOWNLOAD LIMITS since 2007.02.01.

There are prices of Neostrada:

tp.pl/prt/pl/klienci_ind/internet/now_prom/603256?_p=603261

Click on links " już od xx zł z VAT" (from xx PLN including tax).

1 year long contract:

1 mbit - 28 USD/month & 1st month 14 USD
2 mbit - 50 USD/month & 1st 25 USD
6 mbit - 57 USD/month & 1st 28,5 USD

Click link above for other options (longer contract = lower prices).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neostrada

Chello is much cheaper and much faster. 12 mbit chello ADSL is even cheaper than 6 mbit Neostrada.

yes neostrada seemed to have improved their offer. they would be the most reliable service i guess, if you think their fees are fair. but be aware that you will have commit yourself to anywhere between 1-3 years so to get a good deal.

Defiantly don’t go with neostrada, this is a temporary offer with neostrada giving a good deal as it is a reaction to them being in trouble with the monopolies commission over unfair practises. They will soon be up to their old tricks again I should know because I proofread all their internal communication with France Telecom and you should read some of their proposals they are shocking.
The best offer out there at the moment is onet, or look to a local provider there are many. I am with Pulnet here in Pulawy and I get 2Mbs speed, unlimited download each month and costs 50zl. And I agree
